Yesterday I found a baby bird on the wet grass in my garden.
It was alive so I couldn't do anything else but offer it a chance to survive.
I took it inside and warmed it in my hands.
I then went to retrieve information on the net
on how to foster a small baby bird (spurv).
Fortunately I found the information I needed:
liquid food for very young birds (few days old): e.g. sugar water and egg yoke mixed with a little water.
I must admit I did not expect this small baby bird to survive for the night.
Fortunately it was willing to eat and later it was even hungry and very willing to eat my egg yoke
so this morning I filmed this short video - still alive and hoping for the best :)
