Hey guys, welcome back to my channel, I saw so many gorgeous photos from the Victoria
Secret Fashion show so I just had to do a Holiday tutorial based off of one of the models....the
model I chose was Jourdan Dunn!
She wore this makeup when she had on her sort of Santa Claus get up, so it's really perfect
for Christmas. So if you want to see how I got this look, then definitely please keep
watching.
I've already started by using MAC Brownscript in the crease, and as a transition color.
I also used Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow in the color "Shimmering Moss,"
it's this really pretty greenish gold color. It sets really fast so you want to make sure
you apply that quickly.
Using the Olive Gold color from the Sleek Original palette, I am just patting this on
the lid. I am concentrating this olive gold color on the inner corner of my eye.
Ok, so I've zoomed you in just so you can get a better view of what I'm doing. I am
now going to go in with a dark brown color in the outer V of my eye just to create a
gradient and add some nice definition. The color I am using in my outer V is called "Espresso"
from the LORAC Pro palette. I am going to apply with a slighter firmer blending brush...and
as you can see I am just placing it in sweeping motions towards the center of my eyelid. This
is because I want to create a seamless gradient, and I am not really bringing this color into
my crease because it didn't look like Jourdan Dunn did.
Then, I am going to blend every step of the way to ensure a seamless look. To blend, a
fluffier blending brush like this one works really well: it is the E40 from Sigma.
Now that I have finished blending, I am going to take a black eyeshadow and place it at
the very outer corner of my eye. I am going to place that in dabbing motions using a shader
crease from my Sigma Performance Eye Kit. I am using the matte black shadow from the
LORAC Pro palette, and dabbing it on the very outermost section of my eye.
And I am making sure I am applying it in keeping with the winged almond shape I created with
my eye. Using the blending brush again, I am just going to blend that out on the top
to ensure everything blends seamlessly with the transition color.
Now that I have finished that, I am going to line my waterline and tightline using my
favorite black eyeliner: L'Oreal Extra Intense Liquid Pencil eyeliner. I'm doing this because
we want to create really smoldering eyes.
I love, love, love using Tarte Amazonian Clay base because it really prevents my eyes from
creasing on the color which will happen to me without some sort of base. So, if you have
creasing then definitely try a base it helps a lot.
Ok, so now that I have lined my waterline and tightline, I am going to add a liquid
liner in this very subtle cateye shape. You can see it a little bit on the eye i have
already finished, right here. It's very subtle and it's mainly just to hide the eyelash band
and complement the wing shape that we placed our eyeshadows in.
For the liner, because I want a matte finish, I don't want something that will look too
obvious...I am going to use my NYC Color liquid eyeliner. This has a very nice matte finish.
I am really working this liner in the base of my eye, near my lash line just to ensure
that my lashes will blend really seamlessly.
There's what that looks like, I am going to let that dry because this liner does take
a while and I don't want to mess anything up.
While I am waiting for that to dry, I am going to set the glue on my wispy lashes (Red Cherry
WSP) they look like this and they are by Red Cherry. They will give a nice, soft feathery
look to my eye.
(While my lashes are drying) On her lips it didn't look like she had lipstick on, it looked
like she had on some sort of gloss. The color I think closely matches her lips is this NARS
lip lacquer in the color Eros. And it is this really pretty sort of berry lip gloss, and
I am just using a lip brush to apply that to my lips while I wait for my lashes to dry.
To prep for my lashes I am going to curl my eyelashes downward, and that is because my
lashes are actually really curly and they always get in the way of applying false lashes.
I curl them downward to set them out of the way. To curl them downward, I hold my eyelash
curler like this instead of like that.
To make sure they stay like that, I am going to apply some mascara. I am sweeping it downwards
on top of my lashes. I am going to take my first pair of lashes and apply those. The
placement of your false lashes can make a world of difference, so I am just placing
them a little off center to give my eyes a very winged shape and complement the eyeshadow
placement I have done.
Here are the eyes up close...I just want a little more definition on my lips, so I am
going to go in with a nude lip liner and it is called Earthtone by NYX. I hope you enjoyed
this look, I was really inspired by the fashion show and I really like this look. I think
it will work well on a wide range of skin tones, it's perfect for Christmas because
of the greens and it will be complimentary to a lot of red colors.
