Hi, this is Eric Sailers for Expressive Solutions.
I will demonstrate what’s new
in ArtikPix 2.5,
focusing on a new feature for sharing decks.
Here, I have an iPhone 5
and an iPad mini with ArtikPix 2.5 installed
and I’m going to show how simple it is
to share a deck from one device to the other.
Let’s begin by opening the Create module
on the iPhone.
On the My Decks screen, you will see that the Share button
is easy to find in the bottom lefthand part
of the screen.
I’ll just tap on the Share button.
Now I see options for exporting
and importing decks.
I want to share out from this device,
so I’ll select export.
Then, I’ll choose to export the r deck.
Now I see that I can share
via email attachment or iTunes File Sharing.
I’ll demonstrate the email attachment.
I’ll enter a recipient’s email address,
then tap Send.
[airplane sound]
Note that the airplane sound
indicates the email was sent.
Now, let’s open the email attachment
on the iPad mini.
I’ll tap on the Mail app
and wait a moment for the email to arrive.
I’ll open the email
and tap on the attachment.
After it finishes downloading,
I’ll tap again on the attachment.
Now I’ll open it in ArtikPix - Full.
I see an alert that indicates the deck was successfully imported
to the Create module.
So, I’ll tap the Create cloud on the home screen of ArtikPix - Full.
And I see the r deck
on the My Decks screen.
I’ll tap on the deck to make sure
all the cards in this deck are here.
Sure enough, they are.
Now that the cards in this custom deck have been imported,
they can be utilized in the ArtikPix Flashcard or Matching activities.
If you would like to see this feature
or other existing features in ArtikPix,
I welcome you to watch previous ArtikPix videos on YouTube.
One more thing I’d like to add about the sharing decks feature in ArtikPix
is that sharing can occur among any combination of iOS devices,
including iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Regardless of the iOS devices you choose,
sharing decks is easy to do in ArtikPix.
Finally, ArtikPix 2.5
has performance enhancements and bug fixes
in addition to the sharing decks feature.
