Hi, I'm Jennifer, and I work on Google's
Search Quality Team.
People often ask what they can do to help Google find all of
their site's hosted content.
One of the best ways to do this is by creating a Sitemap.
A Sitemap is a list of all the pages on your site and is
designed to help search engines discover and better
understand your content, as well as improve our future
crawling of it.
They help us understand where your content lives and what
it's about so we can start serving that content to users
for relevant searches.
You can create a Sitemap by hand or use a third-party
generator to create your Sitemap file.
Once you have that file, upload it to Webmaster Tools.
Through our crawling process, we'll automatically detect
changes in it.
We're constantly working to build out what type of
information you can give us in a Sitemap.
To stay up-to-date on what exactly you can put in this
file, check out our resources in the Help Center.
Thanks for watching.
