Hi, this is Howard Fleischmann with Community Tire in Phoenix, Arizona on behalf of Expert
Village. In this clip, the technician will drain the fuel tank and then loosen the drive
shaft so he'll have room to drop the tank. Here you see the technician putting a connector
in to attach a hose that will allow him to drain the fuel tank. Be sure to use a clean
container as we have, so that you can put the fuel back into the tank when you reinstall.
Now, he's connecting the wires to activate the fuel pump and there you see it draining.
The next step is to remove the drive shaft from the rear end in order to make room to
lower the fuel tank. Once you remove the four bolts that hold the drive shaft to the rear
end, make sure the end caps that hold the bearings in don't fall off the drive shaft,
because that will cost you time and much aggravation. Once it is pulled loose carefully move it
to the side and secure it out of the way so it won't interfere when you drop the tank.
In our next clip, disconnecting fuel lines and getting the tank ready to drop.
