First, cast on:::however many stitches you want. I'm going to do 3.:::Slide them to the other end of the needle.:::Pick up another needle, and:::knit until you have 1 stitch left.::::::Slip that stitch purlwise,:::And now you're going to pick up from your knitting.:::Go in and pick up a stitch.:::Now you're going to use this needle and do:::basically what you would do for a slip, slip, knit. :::Go in as if you're backwards purling, knit the 2 stitches together,::::::Now we're going to slide this whole thing:::to the other side of the needle, :::and you're going to do the same thing: :::Knit 2, slip 1 purlwise, :::pick up a stitch, :::(in garter stitch I pick up just about every row):::(stockinette you may want to skip and pick up:::3 out of every 4).... go in as if I'm backwards purling,::::::Move the stitches to the other end of the needle, and keep going this way.:::::::::When you pick up, go straight in. :::If you have a big hole like this, you may want to go down here...::::::::::::::::::And there is your attached i-cord! You can see it looks very nice.:::Not quite as nice in the back, but still servicable!:::When you get to the corner, what you're going to do :::is, if you're going to keep going around, :::you want to pick up one stitch three times:::into this corner.
