Marianne: We're like tourists
Laurie: So here's Québec...at night! Marianne: In the mysterious alleys!
L: What we're trying to do is to get to the highest spot of the city, so that we can see the opening of the International Fireworks Competition.
L:...and people on the street think I'm talking to myself! M: It's okay, I'm right beside you!
L: I think we have to go that way...
L: We'll try not to film people too much... M: Or else we'll have to get all of them to sign the paper!
L: While we're just walking aimlessly, we could ask ourselves some questions. M: Ask me a question!
M: I like arts, in general. Just anything. Fine Arts or illustrations done on the computer. Anything. It's pretty.
M: And I also like music. I like to listen to AND play some music. I play the violin. And I like playing violin! :D
M: And I also like fall. It's fun, it's beautiful. It's not too hot nor too cold. I like that! :D
L: So you like beauty? M: Yeees!
M: I like Oscar Wilde. He's the man of my life!
M: I also like how mankind thinks. Like all the things happening with our subconscious like dreams and all. I find it fascinating!
M: And I like languages. L: Languages?
M: Yes! L: How many languages do you speak?
M: I speak two languages fluently: French and English. And I speak a little bit of spanish. I can say 'Me llamo Marianne'!
L: Well I also like arts. I like photography, drawing, theater, cinema, writing, reading and even though I suck at it, I love music. I don't play any, but I listen to a lot of music!
L: I like trivial facts. Like, well... funny facts. M: Like what?
L: Like the fact that horses can't throw up! I didn't know that! M: Or that cows can't go downstairs! L: Yeah!
L: I didn't know that! I also love history quite a lot. Especially when it comes to WWII.
L: And that's about it..! Oh, and I love languages!
M: You're copying me! L: No! Because, I'm a student in Languages and Cultures too! I speak French and English very well, I'd say.
M: (joking) I wouldn't say that... L: (not listening) And I started German! :D
M: Can you say a sentence in German? L: Er... 'Mein Name ist Laurie'...?
L: My accent sucks... I just started! Be tolerant!
M: I'm afraid when I'm not on land. Like when I'm on a boat or on a plane. It's not like a phobia, but I'm just really nervous. It's no fun!
M: I'm afraid of ventriloquists puppets... quite a lot! It scares me so much!
L: Is it because of a movie? M: Yeaaah! 'The Evil Puppet' from 'Goose Bumps'. It has scared me my whole childhood..
M: And also (on a different note) I'm afraid society will become just like in 'Brave New World'. Like we won't be allowed to think anymore and everyone will only think of superficial pleasures.... That's all... It gives me the creeps...
M: ...and I blame my philosophy classes for that!
L: I'm afraid of heights. I'm not comfortable when there's some empty spaces around (or under) me.
L: I'm also scared of bugs. Well, I don't find them scary, but just really disgusting!
L: I'm afraid of exams, at school. Especially now that university is coming and I know I need to have good grades... it makes me nervous!
L: I'm afraid of making the wrong choices in life. Like choosing the wrong job and then discover I hate it and become 'blasé' by the age of 40... and end up being a depressed alcoholic...
L: And I'm afraid of being 'spiritually' wrong. Like being wrong all the way...
L: That's about it... AND I'M SCARED OF THUNDERSTORMS! It freaks me out! I know it's really childish, but I'm really scared when there are some lightnings and thunder and everything is exploding... it really scares me!
