Fans see this is the facelifted A8.
New matrix LED lights, a wonderful technology.
It's the long version with 5 inch extra, especially for the passengers.
That's me, in this case.
It's a car to be chauffeured in.
My driving has only one mode: full attack.
We looked for someone who can drive and found Sander.
He'll explain how to drive someone around in the back seat.
You always try to drive comfortably.
The truck passes us on the left.
There's another truck behind it.
The only way to merge is in between.
And we pass immediately.
You don't want get stuck behind it.
To indicate you want to pass you start on the inside.
Go to the outside.
You're in a car with a lot of people in a limited space.
Often we won't talk for the entire ride.
Someone writes, works on the laptop, makes a phone call, etc.
This has to be as comfortable as possible.
He shouldn't notice being in a car.
Brake gently 'til 31 mph.
Done before entering the corner.
A bit on the outside of the corner.
At the end of the corner you slowly move to the inside.
Then, you get on the throttle evenly.
We're reaching traffic lights.
When braking, make sure you don't get too close to the preceding car.
You need room to get away left or right.
You never know what can happen behind you.
If you keep that in mind, you'll never end up in a nasty situation.
Sander, that's enough. This is the 4.2 TDI. I want to try it myself.
Now I can tell more about the facelift. Extra LED.
This is an Audi, and the A8 facelift has a lot of extra LED.
In the interior as well. Push the button for a nice LED strip behind me.
That's fun, but the headlights as well. Matrix LED, with high beam.
Oncoming traffic won't be blinded, but the road to the right will be lit.
Very nice, but the killer feature are the indicators.
A nice pattern. It looks chic, showing this car costs a lot of money.
I think it's really pretty.
Sander couldn't test the new 4.2 TDI engine with me in the back seat.
A V8 diesel really suits this car. It's that easy.
Extra horsepower, now it's 380 hp and 627 ft lb torque.
You feel this, especially with 50% throttle the torque--
It's unbeatable.
There's so much torque that Audi made the sport diff
from the Quattro AWD a standard feature on the 4.2 TDI.
Under these conditions you feel some wheelspin.
The rear can step out. Not enough to drift.
Perhaps it works when there's snow.
You feel this is an engine with a lot of power.
0-62 mph in 4.7 seconds.
Those are sports car numbers.
In a large limousine, on diesel.
All the other engines got an upgrade as well.
The MMI is better etc. because it's a facelift.
The only disadvantage is the price: 121,500 euros for the 4.2 TDI.
That's not too bad, except that this car is 174,041 euros.
It has a lot of nice goodies.
Sander isn't included, because he's priceless.
Unless you join our Twitter contest.
EDIT: Contest is ended!
For a day, not the rest of your life. That would be too much.
Thanks to Sander Mol Excellent Chauffeursdiensten
