So if you have
a classic car or a repair vehicle that you want to put a lot of money into
it’s important to make sure you get your titling situation squared away first before you
invest money in the vehicle
this is Dave at cartitles.com we have a lot of clients come to us with
a restoration project maybe a classic car muscle car
something that has value but at it’s current condition
maybe it needs work maybe it's just a shell of a car maybe it has no engine
if you got the car that way without a title that's okay but at some point
if you do the restoration it’s going to end up being a valuable asset
and that's not the time you need to find out that you need to get a title for
you want to get the title before you put the money into it because if there's any
problems with that process
you want to find that out before the car is now invested in
the other difference is at it’s current scenario current status
in may have a lower taxable value in some cases if the car has not been
titled there
may be sales tax due so if you go through the sales tax in titling process now when
the car is a shell with low value
you may pay less sales tax then if it's completed
and high-value car definitely with any restoration project
or upgrade project and a vehicle you want to get the titling process done
first not worry about trying to find the title
or recover the title at a later date once the car is now twenty or thirty or
forty thousand dollar car
because if for some reason there’s a problem or you can’t get the title
all that money is wasted if you have more questions about tiling a vehicle or
getting recovery title
