They say that patience is a virtue.
That good things come
to those who wait.
Of course, they also say,
""He who hesitates is lost.
""
Colin, how are you doing?
Are you okay?
Yeah.
Youre doing great.
Almost finished.
The thrombus is in the basilar artery
feeding the cerebellum.
-Thats what caused the seizure?
-Effectively, yes.
And the other symptoms too.
The nausea, the mood swings.
Most likely, the seizure was caused
when a smaller piece broke away
from this mass and obstructed
the blood flow somewhere else.
-So theres two of these clots now?
-Well, not necessarily.
The smaller fragment may have broken up
and dissolved into the bloodstream.
Thats what wed hope for
in a case like this.
That would explain why
theres only been one seizure so far.
My concern now is that
this original thrombus
or another larger fragment from it,
will migrate
and possibly create
a greater occlusion elsewhere.
Thats what we need to try and stop.
Why didnt they find this sooner?
l mean, theres so many tests.
Well, for the same reason
there werent any seizures before.
The mass has to reach a certain minimal
size before itll show up as an anomaly.
Unfortunately, thats also when
it can do the most damage.
ls it operable?
Yes.
Wed use catheters to reach the vessel,
and then right here
wed use a laser
to break the clot apart.
ldeally, the resulting particles would
be so small theyll be harmless.
But be aware that given the areas
of the brain well be dealing with
if the laser damaged
the arterial wall
or the catheter itself
perforated the artery
we wouldnt be able
to stop the bleeding.
l havent thanked you
for coming back on as Colins doctor.
Oh, dont worry about that.
lm glad to help.
Before, when we told you that.
Well, we just.
We really thought the worst was over.
You just did what you thought was best.
Why dont we focus now on trying to help
Colin.
These next two weeks are critical.
Talk to him, talk to your wife
and let me know what you decide.
Unfortunately, sometimes what looks
like patience on the outside
is really fear underneath.
Like so much sheeps clothing
wrapped around a very clever wolf.
You know the place is booked till winter.
l tried to get my time changed.
And you know you cant go alone
in your condition.
My only condition is being married
to a woman--
Dont even finish
that sentence, buster.
l suppose you think all this nagging
is good for my blood pressure.
-Weve been over this.
-Until you change your fool mind
we havent been over it enough.
Sorry, didnt mean to walk
into my own office.
Everything okay?
Fresh off a coronary, he wants
to go play Jeremiah Johnson.
Theres a cabin out on Eyelash Lake.
The towns been running a time-share
for 20 years, and this is my weekend.
l just wanna relax, do a little fishing.
Split some wood.
Pull-start a rusty Evinrude.
Have another heart attack.
lm not going down the Amazon!
Andy, would you tell her that l dont have
to stop living in order to stay alive?
-Well, you know, Edna--
-Shut up.
lll cancel my trip with Grey Thunder
and go with you.
Problem solved.
That is not a solution.
You look forward to this trip all year.
You say it keeps you from being surly
the other 363 days.
Well, l dont see
any other alternatives, do you?
Yes.
l could go alone, like always.
Do you wanna go another round like this?
lll just scootch on into my office.
Or on second thought, lrv, lve been
wanting to get away for a while.
Maybe l could tag along with you.
Do a guys weekend thing.
Could be fun.
No offense, Andy,
but l like the peace and quiet.
lts him or me, cowboy.
Your choice.
We leave at 8 sharp.
Thanks, doc.
l owe you one.
l think you just might.
Okay, bud, l want you to go upstairs
and put that stuff back where you found it.
-Okay, Mom.
-Thank you.
Surprise, baby.
Hey.
Why didnt you call first?
Then it wouldnt have been a surprise,
which wouldve ruined my opening line.
l made sure they trimmed
the thorns this time.
Dont want you to cut yourself again.
So there is a learning curve.
Thats good to know.
So when are you leaving?
Well, it depends.
When are you throwing me out?
Carl, l got a lot of stuff to do today, and
now l got your laundry to do on top of that.
Hey, l was wondering,
is that store space still available?
-Why?
-Why do you think?
What, you wanna--?
So we can open the store?
Here? For real?
l put in my notice.
Two weeks from now
lm coming home for good.
Oh, my God.
When did you decide?
l cant believe this!
l made up my mind a few days ago,
but l wanted to make sure
l could get out before l told you.
l missed you guys so much.
-But last time you said--
-l know.
But how long are we
supposed to wait, right?
Well do like you said, start small.
-Well make the store bigger.
-Because itll be such a success.
Oh, God!
Just leave it.
Hello?
Sam! Sam, come in here!
Listen, lm gonna have
to call you back.
Yeah.
Work.
l wont miss that.
Come here, you.
l know its difficult facing
the prospect of another surgery.
Unfortunately, the alternative
isnt very promising.
But the new surgery could be as risky
as letting the thrombus break up naturally.
Maybe his body will take care
of this clot like the smaller one.
Given the size of the clot,
thats not a possibility.
A thrombus of this type is like
a ticking bomb inside of Colins head.
Were not just talking
about my instincts.
We have identified the problem.
You need to trust me or someone
to go in there and fix it.
And soon.
-No, thanks, Dr.
Brown.
-Listen, Colin--
No, not again.
lm the one
whos been through it all.
lm the one who has to
go through post-op and rehab.
l just dont have it in me to do it again.
Colin, l dont think you understand
the likely prognosis here.
You realize you could die?
Either way, though, right?
l mean, the operation might not even work.
-Well, thats true.
-lll take my chances.
lm gonna wait in the car.
Hes scared, thats understandable.
As his
parents, youll have to explain to him.
Explain what?
We cant do a better job
of explaining this than you did.
lts in Gods hands now.
Nice! See that shot? See that?
Hes fast.
-All right, nice shot.
-This your idea of studying?
Were just taking a break.
l told you this game
was too violent for Delia.
-lts okay, Dad.
lts not real dying.
-Nice shot!
Listen.
lm gonna go away
this weekend with lrv.
Some lodge out by a lake.
lts a favor to Edna.
Someplace more in the middle
of nowhere than here?
And since l need to go,
youre going with me.
-No, lm not.
-l wanna go.
lts just the guys this weekend, honey.
lve already talked to Nina.
Youre going because you need to study,
and have proved
you cant be trusted to do that.
l can study.
l was actually just going to study.
lts funny--
-lts too late.
-This is bull.
Well, its nonnegotiable bull.
So, once again, you make a promise
to somebody, and l suffer because of it.
lm not particularly in the mood
for an Outward Bound event myself.
But thats what you do
for friends sometimes.
Die, you ***! Die!
What do you want?
Bacon or sausage?
Forget it.
lll get both.
You just lay back and wait for the party.
That sounds good to me.
Do not let Sam eat any doughnuts
on the way home.
Got it.
Sam gets doughnuts.
-People actually volunteer to come here?
-Booked solid till October.
lt certainly is rustic.
Smell that air, Ephram.
Should have just stayed home
and huffed Pine-Sol.
So, what do we do here?
lf by we, you mean you,
youre studying.
-Well, can l at least take out the boat first?
-No, you cant.
Okay.
l get it now.
This is a hostage situation.
-Will the beatings be all-inclusive?
-Only if youre lucky.
You cant actually make me study
if l dont want to.
Well come back some time
when you dont have finals.
Like hell.
Honey, were back! Get your butt
out of bed and come chow down!
-Were making pancakes, eggs!
-And we got doughnuts and bacon!
-Any problems?
-Not a one.
Sam only had two doughnuts,
and Delia only ran two lights.
Did you know they made bacon
and sausages out of turkey now?
The pigs must be thrilled!
l hope youre hungry.
Could you teach me how to make
the Mickey Mouse pancakes with the ears?
-Sure thing, sweetie.
-Okay, lets go.
Come on.
-Come on, Sam! Hurry up!
-Lets go.
Come on, Sam.
Lets go, buddy.
Lets go.
This is what its gonna be like
every morning.
lsnt it great?
You know.
My dad used to say,
Theres a thin line between fishing
and sitting in a boat, getting drunk.

Not a bad line to straddle.
Hes a fighter.
You okay?
Yeah, lm fine.
l just got caught off guard.
You dont happen to have
any life jackets onboard, do you?
Back at the cabin.
l forgot to grab them.
-You cant swim, doc?
-Well, l can.
lf you define the word swim
very broadly.
Mark Spitz lm not.
More of a modified Labrador.
So there is something
that youre not an expert at.
Thats a mighty long list.
You havent sampled my cooking.
Then theres my parenting skills.
Just ask Ephram.
Hell be all right.
l wasnt a sack of happy
when l was that age either.
Listen, l hope were not cramping
your style too much by tagging along.
lm afraid that peace and tranquility arent
exactly part of the Brown family motto.
l dont know if this
is the best place for study hall.
But, hey, its like anything,
you do the best you can.
-Hell appreciate it eventually.
-Who knows?
Maybe it wasnt the right thing to do.
l just want him to do well, thats all.
l mean, thats my job
in this relationship, isnt it?
l mean, so what
if he hates my guts for it?
When l was 1 5, l thought my old man
was a pain in the *** too.
Might be the only opinion
shared by all mankind.
You didnt get along
with your father either?
No worse than most, l suppose.
lt worked itself out in the end.
l wish l could say l did better
when it was my turn.
l didnt know you had kids.
Just one.
A daughter, Cassandra.
We dont talk much,
maybe once or twice a year.
Where is she now?
Back East.
Her mother and l
divorced when she was 1 5.
Things didnt work out
the way we thought
so we shook hands
and went our ways.
l guess Cassie had to blame somebody.
She picked me.
-What are you doing here?
-Your dad said it was okay.
Double chocolate?
lm really tired.
l know.
l just wanted to see
how you were feeling.
How do you think lm feeling?
Right.
Dumb question.
-ls there anything l can do?
-Nope, nothing.
-l think you should leave.
-l guess were still fighting, then.
ls there any reasons why we wouldnt be?
You havent apologized or anything.
-Okay.
lm sorry.
-lts too late.
-Colin--
-Why are you here, Amy?
Why do you keep coming back
when its obvious were over?
Because were not over.
All these
stupid fights dont count.
You were sick.
-You didnt know what you were doing.
-Of course l did.
You think l got mad about you and Ephram
because my brain was tweaked?
-Well--
-No.
And just so theres no misunderstanding,
lm feeling really clear right now.
And l think what you did still sucked.
Ephram and l are just friends.
l felt sorry for him.
Why do you keep talking about Ephram?
l had a seizure, and youre up here
talking to me about some guy?
-Do you see how wrong that is?
-Okay, Colin, lm sorry.
Would you please just leave?
And dont come back.
l dont want to see you anymore.
Were done.
Caught an appetizer.
This guy put up a hell of a fight.
Hows the studying going?
Pretty good.
Every time l start to fall asleep,
the silence wakes me up.
Oh, so maybe coming here to study
wasnt such a bad idea after all.
Yeah, about that.
l was thinking.
-What would you say to double or nothing?
-What do you mean?
l know how important this whole school
thing is to you, so l had an idea.
lnstead of passing my finals
so l can go to New York for a week
if l pull my average to a B
in my classes
-l get to go for the whole summer.
-What?
You get more of what you want.
l get more of what l want.
l dont care if you come up
with a unified field theory
theres no way youre going
to New York for the summer.
-Why not?
-lll tell you why not.
-Because.
-Oh, thats a great reason.
-That would make total sense if l was 5.
-Sometimes lm not so sure that youre not.
Youre not gonna hide from your family
for the entire summer.
Nonnie and Grandpa are my family too,
Moms family.
You dont like them--
That has nothing to do with it.
l wont do this now.
So, what am l gonna do,
work at Dairy Queen?
Well, if you dont pull up your grades,
serving Blizzards might be a career path.
Everythings always gotta be your way.
This weekend, this summer.
A week is enough.
l dont have to let you go at all, okay?
So take a week or take nothing.
-More coffee?
-No, thanks.
Feeneys.
Hello?
Who is this?
Must have been a wrong number.
Second time this morning.
l doubt it.
Hey, guys, why dont you go play outside
and work off some of that food?
Hide-and-seek.
Hide-and-seek.
You hide first.
lll count to a thousand.
One.
Two.
Thousand!
l know why they keep hanging up.
And l know why you didnt talk
yesterday when they called.
-Who called? What are you talking about?
-l found it.
l found the ***.
Why would you need them on the road?
-God, lm such an idiot.
-Calm down.
Dont touch me.
l dont want you near me.
-Okay, lm sorry.
-Sorry for what? What are you sorry for?
l dont know.
Look, what do you want me to say?
l want you to deny it.
Tell me that you didnt have an affair.
Tell me that l made all this up.
Tell me that
lm crazy.
Thats what l want you to say.
Oh, God, this isnt happening.
l can explain this.
Let me try and explain.
-Oh, my God!
-lt was a mistake, all right?
lts over.
lm coming home.
-l love you.
-Stop.
l was lonely.
All we did was fight when l was home.
You were always unhappy with me.
-So this is my fault? You son of a ***!
-lt just happened.
lt meant nothing.
l am glad our marriage was destroyed
over someone who meant nothing to you!
lm done with that.
l dont wanna be that person anymore.
lm done lying.
lm done with all of it.
Please, Nina.
lm home now.
l wanna be with my family.
Go to hell!
Wheres the warden?
He went for a hike.
There are bears out there, arent there?
You know, all this quiet
is really starting to creep me out.
lt sounds just fine to me.
What you writing?
Novel? Journal entry?
Love letter to Edna? Huh?
Just something to keep my mind young.
Just scribbles, really.
-Thats cool.
l draw sometimes.
-Thats nice.
You know, lrv.
lf you wanna be alone,
l can make that happen.
-Youd better wait for your dad.
-Come on.
You want some privacy.
l need a break.
lll just take it out for a little while.
-Have you ever been on a boat?
-Hello, l grew up on an island, remember?
Look, ld go for a walk,
but l could get lost, l could get eaten.
You wouldnt want that
to happen, right?
lts a lake,
not like you cant find the shore.
Your pop was set on you studying
the whole time.
l have been studying.
Hes not a reasonable man.
You saw.
lll take it out, two seconds.
lll be back before he is.
l promise.
-Pull back straight and hard.
l got it.
-Put this on.
-l think that only goes with flannel.
-Put it on.
And keep it on.
Keep within sight of the cabin.
Remember, mind the reeds.
And stay clear of that far shore!
l got it! No problem.
Please.
Before l have to self-medicate.
So have you spoken to Dr.
Brown lately?
About Colin or anything?
ls this a trick?
As l recall, speaking to Dr.
Brown
is what turned you into such
delightful company
these last few weeks.
Or did you forget thats why
you stopped talking to me?
Never mind.
-What are you doing?
-l just need to grab some things.
Get me a Coke and some licorice.
Any kind.
lf you want something,
come in and get it yourself.
l could talk to him if youd like.
Dr.
Brown.
l wouldnt enjoy it, mind you
but l could do that for you,
if youd like.
Thats okay.
Forget it.
lm just curious what happens next,
thats all.
lm sure theyll do whatever is necessary.
Did Colin say something?
Not really.
He doesnt wanna
talk to me right now.
Because of?
Because of, like, a million reasons,
which makes everything seem so pointless.
How do you mean?
What was the point of hiding
all that stuff?
-He hates me now, anyways.
-Honey, lm sure he doesnt hate you.
l wish l would have told someone
when l knew he was getting sick.
l never should have pretended
that l didnt see it.
You wanted him to trust you.
All things considered,
trust is very important in a relationship.
Sometimes, Amy, all things arent equal.
Maybe if l had said something sooner,
they couldve done something about it.
-What if its too late?
-Theyll do everything they can.
-Hes in good hands.
-But its all my fault now.
-lf l hadnt danced with Ephram--
-Amy.
Amy, listen to me.
Whatever is going on
with Colins medical condition
had absolutely nothing to do
with any quarrel or any jealous tiff
that you two mightve had at a dance.
Honey, it just doesnt work that way.
You have done more for Colin Hart
than anyone could ever expect.
More than anyones ever done
for just about anybody.
Come here.
Other than the ferry on Liberty lsland,
he hasnt been on a boat in years.
The lakes not that big.
The weathers clear.
lm sure hell be back soon.
l gave Ephram a direct order,
and you let him defy it.
-Well, it was a dumb order.
-lm sorry?
lm married to Edna.
l know a bit about being bossed around,
and l havent met anybody who likes it.
lf l didnt tell him what to do,
he wouldnt do anything.
l doubt thats true.
lts easier for you to try to control him.
lve lived long enough to know
thats not the way to get what you want
and its not the way to raise a kid.
lll choose how to deal
with my son, okay, lrv?
Look, l shouldnt have let him out
on that boat alone.
Fair enough.
But damn, Andy, you drag
a 1 5-year-old kid way out here
lock him in a room,
what do you expect?
l expect you not to interfere
with how l raise my son.
Especially since the last time l checked,
l was doing you and Edna a favor.
lts not my fault he wants
to get away from you for the summer.
-What does she look like?
-Nina.
ls she pretty? ls she young?
Please dont do this.
l just want a picture in my head.
-l wanna see who you chose over me.
-l didnt.
lt was the worst mistake
l made in my life.
But its over.
l realized how much
having this family means to me.
l wanna come home.
l want the three of us to be a family
the way we always should have been.
We can open the store, just like we
talked about, just like you dreamed.
Dreams.
You mean like going off
to do great things
because Everwood
was never enough for you.
Because you always thought you were
so much better than all of it.
lt wasnt Everwood.
lt was me that wasnt enough for you.
-Thats not true.
-Youre damn right its not.
Life is about growing up, Carl,
but you never grew up.
Youre a failure.
You failed me as a husband.
You failed Sam as a father.
You failed yourself as a person.
You have been running in place for years,
and l bought it all.
Every damn bit of it.
Youre right.
lm a failure at everything.
l never did anything great with my life.
Every year, the big break didnt come.
No promotions.
l was ashamed to come home to you.
ld be in another crappy motel
somewhere in another damn city
so sick of myself.
Not much of my life is worth anything.
Just you and Sam.
You were always the best part
of me, Nina.
Always.
The only part that was any good at all.
lm nothing without you.
ld disappear completely
if l didnt have you.
Nin, please.
God, please believe me.
l never stopped loving you.
Never.
Give me one more chance.
l wont let you down.
Never again.
l love you, Nina.
l love you so much.
Way to go, Brown.
You get an A plus in stupid-*** things
to do in a boat.
Father would be so proud of you.
And then hed kill you.
We cant wait anymore.
The sun is down.
Wind is picking up.
We gotta call the police, a ranger,
somebody.
Still no service.
By the time we get the phone to work,
and they get here, itll be two hours--
This cant be the only cabin out here.
Theres gotta be a boat.
We need to find a boat.
Any chance he could be trying to stick
it to you, to *** off the old man?
No.
No, this is different.
l can feel it.
Hes got no food, no extra clothes,
no flashlight.
With the sun gone, exposed, hypothermia
could set in in two hours if hes dry
much less if hes not.
Weve gotta find him now.
Ephram!
Ephram!
Ephram!
-How about over there?
-Weve been over there.
Well just keep widening out a little.
Well find him.
l think l see something!
The boat! lts right over there!
Over here.
Wait! Thats him!
There he is, right there!
Hold on, Ephram! lts okay!
Everythings gonna be all right!
What are you doing?
We gotta get in closer to pull him out!
We get any closer, well get stuck too.
Were here now.
Hes okay.
-lm going in after him.
-Youre not going anywhere.
Here.
You said youre not
much of a swimmer.
l am.
Grab the rope.
And sit down before you tip us over!
-You okay?
-Cold.
lm cold.
Well get you warmed up soon.
Plenty of firewood and hot soup.
-ls my dad--?
-Hes fine.
Dont worry about that now.
We gotta get you out of here.
Okay!
Not The Music Man again.
lts good to be reminded of why
a classic should never be remade.
You always loved Shipoopi.

How about ***?
Vin Diesels cool.
Hes a Neanderthal with an overactive
pituitary and a gym membership.
Thats the trouble with your generation.
lts about mindless eye candy
blowing things up.
Theres no appreciation for art.
Now, Robert Preston.
He was cool.
Hi.
-Hi, Dr.
Abbott.
-Colin.
How are you?
lm okay, thanks.
Could l talk to you for a second?
lll go get the movies.
lll get both of them, just in case.
See you later.
l thought you never wanted
to see me again.
No.
lt was kind of the other way around.
l didnt want you to see me anymore.
Not like this, anyways.
l dont understand.
Look, l said all those things
because l felt like l had to.
Like l had to be mean
to make you go away.
And then l decided
that l couldnt go through with it.
l couldnt have you thinking
that l hated you when l dont.
So whyd you tell me to go away?
l cant ask you to stay with me, Amy.
Not again.
Youve been through this before,
and l know how much it hurt you.
l dont even know
whats gonna happen now.
lm not getting better, Amy.
And l might get worse.
You dont want to deal
with that again.
How do you know what l want?
Look, l know you wouldnt leave
if l asked you to stay.
-Youre too good of a person.
-Are you kidding me?
Colin, l didnt go to that hospital every day
because l thought you missed me.
l went because l missed you.
lts not like lm doing you any favors.
Colin, trust me, l can be really overbearing.
Ask your mom.
She tried to bounce me too, but l stick.
Thanks.
So l bet this is like an all-time high
for you being pissed off at me, right?
Before today, l thought losing your mother
was the worst thing l could imagine.
lm sorry l scared you.
lm sorry l kidnapped you and took you
to the Unabomber fantasy camp.
l hated the idea of you going
to New York, even for a week.
When you started talking about
going for the whole summer, l just.
You really think you can get all Bs?
That was probably a safe bet
for the house.
Well.
l want you to do well on your finals,
but no matter what
you can spend the summer
with your grandparents.
l know theyd love it,
and l know itd be great for you
and l know youll come back.
We should probably get going.
l got a test tomorrow.
lm prepared for a change.
You can make up the test.
You might have a concussion.
Well leave tomorrow just to be safe.
Besides, l think l can get you
a doctors note.
See, l know this guy.
lm all packed, and l told the cab
to come in an hour.
lll be back from daycare
in plenty of time.
-Well be doing this a lot, wont we, Sam?
-Yeah.
Okay?
Hello?
Hello.
Stop calling here.
Look, l know who this is and dont
ever call him again.
Do you hear me?
He told me all about you.
What you had is over.
Hes home with his family,
with his son, with me.
He loves me.
Do you understand?
Im sorry.
Just tell him Im sorry.
Thanks again.
Next time we go on
vacation together, lll save your life.
Next time? l dont think so.
l wanted to thank you too, lrv,
for what you did out there.
Forget it.
lts easier to be a hero
with other peoples children.
No, not just for saving Ephram.
You said some things
l really needed to hear.
l got a big mouth.
lt runs in the family.
Hes more like me
than l care to admit sometimes.
Hes stubborn.
He always thinks hes right.
But hes like his mother too.
Hes artistic and passionate.
From what l can tell,
its not a bad mix.
-Yeah, l guess it isnt.
-Now you go be with your boy.
And not a word of this
to that nurse of yours.
lt was nothing but R and R all weekend.
And just a little bit of fishing.
Hey.
Just made it.
My cab should be here any minute.
You okay?
You got another call.
l talked to him.
He says hes sorry.
He wanted me to tell you that.
Maybe l should have seen it.
l knew it was something.
When ld offer to meet you on the road
before Sam, you always had some excuse.
Fewer and fewer visits every year,
always some reason.
You distracted yourself with friends, even
when we only had a day or two together.
You could never wait to leave.
Anything not to be here,
not to be with me.
Amazing how we fill in the blanks
the way we wanna see them.
l kept filling them in.
lm not pretty today.
lm not funny or smart
or interesting enough.
But next visit, lll do better,
lll work harder, lll figure it out.

l felt so unattractive sometimes,
so unwanted.
You have no idea how hard it was
always trying to find some reason
some way that l failed.
Somewhere deep down, l knew
something was wrong.
lm sure l did.
l guess l must have been afraid
to ask somehow.
But l wonder if l had,
if you would have told me the truth.
Even in my arms,
you were always out of reach.
And maybe you didnt love me
the way l did you
but you didnt even care enough
to be honest with me.
You didnt choose someone else, Carl.
You are someone else.
We already gave you our decision.
l know.
Listen, ld like to say
something to you, and then
l wont bother you again.
l promise.
Please.
All right.
l know how scared you are.
l also know that fear is only part of it.
l think youre frustrated, and youre angry
that you cant fix this yourself.
This weekend,
Ephram had an accident, and l.
l really thought that ld lost him.
And l didnt handle it very well.
Hes okay, but l was ashamed
that l couldnt help him
that l couldnt take care of someone
l love, someone whos my responsibility.
lm glad your sons okay
but its not the same.
No, its not.
But what is the same
is that its impossible
to be objective when
your own childs life is in danger.
Were not equipped
for that as parents, as fathers.
Mr.
Hart
l believe that Colins life, or at least
the likelihood of a truly meaningful life
is in danger without this procedure.
And l believe that l can see that
more clearly than you.
l need you to talk to Colin.
We need to persuade him.
l know how to help your son.
Please.
Please put your faith in me.
Its easy to create a child.
Its the rest we have
so much trouble with.
Our kids drive us crazy.
They keep us sane.
We cant wait for them to grow up.
We wish they never would.
