Two tools to help Arkansas Soybean Producers make the best variety selections are now available
from the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture. The "Soybean Update" publication
compiles research data collected from the division’s Soybean Variety Testing Program.
According to extension soybean agronomist, Jeremy Ross, the updates are separated into
"Early Season Roundup® Ready," Full-Season Roundup® Ready" and "Full-Season Non-Roundup®
Ready," which includes conventional and Liberty Link cultivars. The "Soybean Update" has data
on yields, disease ratings, agronomic characteristics, herbicide tolerance, and more. SOYVA is a
computer program that allows users to view the current and two-year yield averages for
all varieties from six test locations across Arkansas. The SOYVA program factors numerous
site-specific characteristics to give growers varietal recommendations to avoid a particular
set of problems associated with individual fields. Your Arkansas Soybean Podcast is a
production of the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture and was funded in part by the
Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board. For more information about soybean farming in Arkansas,
