My name's Tong Zhu and I'm a PhD student at the University of Saskatchewan and actually
I work at the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency too and this is my third time to come to the NAACCR
Annual Conference. The NAACCR Annual Conference means a lot to me and I really like it for
several reasons: The plenary sessions - they give us an overview and general direction
for the cancer research; all the specific topics such as like cancer data quality and
cancer control surveillance and analytic epidemiology and statistical methods. In all these, the
knowledge really apply my own study and my own research and it's not only for the knowledge
you learn from the conference and the sections at the same time you can know many peoples
and they work at the area of the cancer you are interested and this really help me for
my own study and help me to plan my future research. At the same time you can build up
a great collaboration for research for the futures. At the same time, I really want to
thank you for the NAACCR, and the committee - they give me the opportunity to do the oral
presentation here and I also like to thank the award committee for overview my presentation.
The award is unexpected and encourage me and really motivate me to do the future research.
And I really want to say it's a very, very good opportunity for all the graduate students
who come to this meeting and is very grateful. Thank you.
