Earlier this week Burberry unveiled their Spring/Summer collection for 2014 as part
of London Fashion Week.
Celebrities like Harry Styles, Sienna Miller and Naomie Harris were in attendance to see
what's next from the Great British Brand.
There was plenty of lace, some soft dusty colours and a little bit of Cara Delevigne.
Here's Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey to explain the idea behind the look:
"I wanted the collection to be this kind of soft, gentle, romantic kind of English garden,
English rose garden kind of mood. But I wanted it to be sexy and sassy at the same time.
So you kind of have this transparency enveloped in these kind of beautiful cashmeres and these
beautiful gentle fibres. We worked with these beautiful Scottish mills with all the cashmeres
and then we found this beautiful factory in Nottingham
that has all the original - it's a very small factory - has all the orginal Victorian machines
to make the Victorian lace. So the lace was all this beautiful Nottingham lace."
Burberry also teamed up with Apple to share photos and videos of the show using the new
iPhone 5S iSight camera. Making for a clever marriage of cutting edge tech and vintage-inspired
fashion.
