Hi I'm Tristan Mculley from Lucky seven tattoo. And I'm here to talk to you about ear stretching
after care. First and foremost the best way, your first line of defense is a good antibacterial
or antimicrobial soap. That basically kills any bacteria that's inside the piercing. On
the inside of, underneath the gage and between the ear. What you do with that is basically
lather it up on your hand really well with warm water and just go around it in a counter
clockwise motion or a circular motion. Just massaging slowly. You want to do that for
about four to five minutes and just heals, get it really clean. Let it sit for about
thirty seconds just so it can set it a little bit. And then rinse it thoroughly with warm
water, make sure you get all the soap out of it. Leaving soap in it can lead to irritation
which can lead to infection. You also want to dry it really well. Leaving it wet from
putting your gages back in can irritate your piercing as well. Another thing you can use
is Dr. Bronner's soap, it's a natural soap that, it works just as same as when you are
using the antibacterial or the antimicrobial, it's totally natural, it helps to heal faster.
Another option is saline solution. Which is basically just purified salt water. Or you
can use a sea salt, if you use the sea salt mix, you want to use one tablespoon of sea
salt to every quarter cup of boiling water. You boil it, let it dissolve and then cool
it and you just want to soak your ear for a little while every day. That will kind of
bring all the impurities out and keep it really clean really nice. And that's how you take
care of gaged ears.
