JAYNE ENTWISTLE: This next game is called "Sound Ball" and this is a great warm-up game.
It's going to require that we open our mouths and make silly sounds and the thing that's
really important is there no wrong sound. You need to kind of turn off that part of
your mind that wants to think of a good sound, what's the best sound that I could make or
critique and say, "That wasn't a good sound." You have to turn that part off because we're
just trying to get in that mode of playing and being really relaxed. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD:
It's all about instinctual. JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Yes, and have fun. So, this game, sound ball,
I'm going to create a sound and I'm going to throw it to Andrew. Andrew's going to catch
my sound. He has to make the same sound that I made as best as he can and then he's going
to throw a different sound. Now, if we have more people in the room, we would have the
sound traveling all over. We're just going to throw it back and forth. So, hear we go.
Whoo! ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Whoo! Phew! JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Phew! Ena-na-na-na! ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD:
Ena-na-na-na! Crink! JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Crink. Ugvuduvuvuvu. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Ugvuduvuvuvu.
Pop! JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Pop! So, this is sound ball. It looks a little funny, it sounds a
little funny but it's a great way to just play and have fun. And when you have a lot
of people in a room playing sound ball, it is amazing. It's like some crazy improv orchestra.
All right, that was sound ball.
