[laughter] I'm Whitney Avalon I make Princess Rap Battles and I played Katniss And I'm Steve Gossett, co-creator of Princess Rap Battles You're gonna go-- Hermione and Katniss were one of the most popular suggested match-ups We loved the idea of doing these two book characters against each other I sling unforgettable verses like unforgivable curses What's worse is your universe isn't immersive We couldn't do these characters justice if we didn't really do the research so we read all the books and watched all the movies People that are fans of Harry Potter or Hunger Games really know their stuff I'll slaughter this otter which is your patronus Yeah, oh, I know Molly Quinn is the perfect Hermione It was so awesome to have a Hermione who so embodied that character with a few extra obscene gestures, of course This is really offensive, right? We just do it because it's offensive Hagrid? Who else to back up Hermione but Harry Potter and Ron Weasley? It's one thing to write the words, but to hear them come to life in the recording booth is awesome Molly was amazing The minute she got on the mic and started rapping, we knew she was going to be an incredible Hermione On fire? Oh, just like your dad or the hospital you visited to film a quick ad I've got the cortex to ace my subjects I've got that bad blood while you run with rejects We rehearsed the night before at Whimsic Alley, which has its own version of Hogwarts' Great Hall It's a cool moment to see the teams get together and figure out what our choreography for the battle is actually going to be I loved the idea of having the sorting hat do a cameo Gryffindor! Our First AD, T.C. De Witt, was also our puppeteer for the sorting hat That's five more points for Gryffindor! In addition to bringing the hat to life, we also added magic to our Goblet of Fire Yo homes, smell ya later There's been a lot of comments about Hermione and Katniss kissing What's important is they're not actually enemies But are they together? I mean, we can do this We can do this if you want I ship it I had each team do walk-offs like they were runway models They were really fun and totally absurd I told Molly "Do a Slytherin dance!"
