Do you have a screaming toothache and you just don't know what to do? Well my name is
Michelle and I'm a dental assistant with Solutionz and don't worry I'm here to explain to you
on what you can do for your severe toothache. First of all you would need to go see your
general dentist immediately if you have a toothache and therefore he would be able to
prescribe you maybe a higher pain medication and get you on antibiotics to prevent any
further infection but if you are having the toothache over the weekend and you just can't
get in to see your dentist then what you can do at home is you can actually purchase Ora
Gel. It's an over-the-counter numbing medication that you would place on the tooth and around
the gum. This will kind of numb the area for a good 20 to 30 minutes and kind of give you
some pain relief for that period of time. Also too you can take what we call Advil and
Ibuprofen. Advil and Ibuprofen is a great pain reliever to take because it has the anti-inflammatory
so it will help with any inflammation that you might have starting in that area and then
rinsing with warm salt water rinses, it is great, it soothes the area, the salt will
actually kind of help clear out any infection that might be starting around the gums and
then the warm water will actually just kind of sooth it also but definitely you always
want to go see your general dentist if you are having a toothache that is coming and
you can already tell you are going to have and therefore he can prescribe something for
you to be able to hold you over the weekend or until you are actually able to get the
tooth fixed. Once again my name is Michelle and I'm a dental assistant with Solutionz
and I just explained to you on what you can do for a severe toothache.
