Hi I'm Beth Pry from MindLinks on behalf of expert village and here I have with me today
Brad Bruer. Shhh he's quiet in hypnosis right now, but I"m going to talk to you about what
it is that he is actually doing. So in this segment we're talking about self hypnosis
and when it is that you would open your eyes after you've achieved the state that you want
to feel when you're in your own hypnotic state. Now Brad has gone through the process of hypnosis,
he's relaxed his eye muscles to the point they won't work. He's relaxed his whole body.
He's set his intention, what it is that he wants to achieve. He's looked at what the
feeling is when he does achieve and fulfill on his intention. He's looked at what body
part feels the strongest when he is in his peak performance state, when he is feeling
the best, when he is feeling the most like a competitive golfer. Now the last question
is, when is it that he actually opens his eyes and resumes the rest of his day? Well
when you open your eyes once you're in a hypnotic state is after you've achieved all of the
things that you want to achieve. I mean obviously right. Once you feel yourself getting to that
feeling state of whatever it is, whether you want to feel like a better competitive golfer,
you want to feel like you're going to ace the ACT because you're a student or you feel
like you're going to be great at cold calling. Once you feel that, where in your body you
feel that. After you've gotten to that point, after you've achieved that feeling state and
you're sure of it, and you've checked in with yourself and you know where in your body you
feel it. After you've done all that, thats when you open your eyes and resume back into
a normal state of affairs. Now how you open your eyes is you don't just pull your eyes
open, but you actually count yourself back up. You want to allow yourself to easily and
gently resume back into a conscious state. So I'm going to count for Brad, but you, yourself
you'd want to count for yourself. I suggest counting out from five up to one. I always
start with a five and I say everything time I say, everyday and every way I'm getting
better and better. So I'm going to show you just how we help him open his eyes. So Brad,
let's get ready to emerge from this hypnotic state with five feeling better and better
in every way and every day. Four feeling your energy returning, feeling it coming up in
your body. Three knowing yourself, feeling yourself, checking in where it is that you
feel like the best golfer. Two getting ready to open your eyes and one eyes open feeling
refreshed and wonderful. And that is how you open your eyes once you're done with your
hypnotic state.
