I am test-riding Estrella 2014 model of Kawasaki.
I test this motorbike by winding road.
Many accessories for tourings are prepared for this motorbike.
I am test-riding the "touring style" equipped with them.
It is equipped with a large-sized window screen, a small engine guard, a center stand, touring cases, and its bracket, etc.
Moreover, it is equipped with the thick seat.
Appearance and function assume the long touring.
Engine types are air cooling, 4 strokes, 2 valves, SOHC, and a single cylinder, and displacement volume is 249 cc.
Bore X strokes are 66 mm X 73 mm.
This long stroke engine has determined the feeling of this motorbike.
Horsepower output is 18 H.P. and maximum torque is 18 newton meter.
This is not a powerful motorbike.
Frame form is semi double cradle.
Front suspension is telescopic type front fork with the inner tube of the diameter of 39 mm.
Rear suspension is the combination of conventional twin shock units and a swing arm.
A front tire is 18 inches and a rear tire is 17 inches. Width is 90 mm and 110 mm, respectively.
Fuel tank capacity is 13 liters and is enough as a motorbike with a single cylinder engine.
Although it is related also to design, the engine has determined the feeling of this motorbike.
It is a gentle engine.
Vibration is not so clear although there are also many people who expect it. It is strictly mild vibration.
It differs from the large displacement volume single cylinder engine which emits clear vibration.
The road surface is uneven. Also unexpectedly, front and rear suspension have high-class feeling.
Although they are not highly efficient suspensions, road-surface-tracking ability is good.
The action of the handlebar has also settled down. The straight driving stability is also excellent.
If the touring of such a scenic place is carried out slowly, it will be an ideal steering response.
Front brake is a single disk brake of the diameter of 300 mm.
It is more powerful than imagination and feeling is also good as a motorbike of this class.
It is also good for levers on either side to be able to adjust with dials.
This is a motorbike recommended also to women.
Rear brake is a leading trailing type drum brake of inside diameter 160 mm.
The drum brake is tough.
This can be overworked in comfort.
It is glad that this motorbike has a drum brake as usual.
A thick seat is comfortable.
A large-sized windshield is also rather excellent.
Since this is flat design, also at a low speed, it functions effectively.
The window protection effect reaches to rider's head.
Since it is wide, it covers to rider's shoulders.
Touring cases and a bracket are the most attractive in the accessories of this motorbike.
Since this bracket is Genuine Parts, it is beautifully reliable.
Moreover, the cases are wonderful.
The common cases of wafers shape are not user-friendly.
However, since the lid of this case is opened upwards, even if it looks small, there is holding capacity.
This case is very convenient although W650 which I own has these.
Since it is soft design, it is not strange, although these are removed from a motorbike and carried into the lobby of a hotel.
Although the case itself is not stylish, since it is convenient, I recommend these to you.
Since the horsepower output of a 249-cc engine is 18 H.P., it is powerless.
However, it is good not to hurry a rider.
This motorbike will be the best if the good place of a scene is run slowly.
Moreover, it is wonderful that there are many accessories for tourings.
According to a rider's liking and feeling, this motorbike will change the appearance. It also becomes a motorbike for long tourings.
Something and user-friendliness are good and, in a word, it is a motorbike which makes an owner happiness for a long period of time.
