Hi I am Lieakae Matsimane and i work for the Africa Craft Trust. Our Mission is to implement programs that enables the growth of commercially viable craft enterprises and invest in the Holistic support of the craft sector. we run Access for Market Profit training with participation over 17 African countries over the past 10 years. This entrepreneur scholarship fund will allow 5 craft entrepreneurs to attend our AMP program. The training enables entrepreneurs to improve their economic wellbeing and sustainability within their communities. The workshop is hands on and provides tools to improve and manage their enterprises. increasing their profitability in order to employ more people. This course covers local and global market trends. designing new products, marketing, costing and pricing and creating and sustaining links to long term wholesale and exports buyers. As a past participant of the Access to Market Profit I know the impact it has on businesses. I myself was a craft exporter in an Africa Craft Trust Program. and my Business supported over 50 crafters in Lesotho. Now I work for the Africa Craft Trust and help facilitate in the training. so that i can help the wider craft community.
