Year End Party - Summoner showcase #59

Summoners, the calendar year is coming to an end and we wanna send it off in style. Luckily, there's no end to the amazing work we see from League of Legends fans. SO let's celebrate! Here's to 2011, an amazing year of summoner creativity, and here's to another year that can be even better. What are we waiting for? Let's look at the art! Though the long,fought battle between Cake and Pie rages on, we have a new contender. Xandriea puts her cake in a costume with the help of fondant and color, in some of the most detailed food art we've seen yet! I mean, just look at the Lion Dance Kog Maw. All those little bits! Almost too good to eat, awww... no... it's eatin' time. All good things come to an end. A delicious demise. And for even more surprising creativity, Ghonosyph submits what I think is our first piece of industrial art! With carved out metal, some lights and shiny surfaces, we have a crazy looking Kog'Maw placard thing that could probably be used as a shield, or even as a weapon in the event of a zombie invasion. It always helps to be prepared and completely stylish. Little tidbits of wisdom for the upcoming year. I feel fabulous. I'm not alone in this. BossPanda gets it. See? it's infectious. I bet it'll sneak into your head and you'll be like WOW, I'm totally singing LoL songs right now. Don't pause that playlist. VampyDJ has more. Now that is awesome, add that to your New Years playlist and get the party going. That's dancin' music! Let's take a look at something a little sinister. How about ZeroLemons's art they call Hell Born Alistar? There's a lot of passion behind this, the rough lines and the colors, I love seeing that intimidating side of Alistar. A giant minotaur should be intimidating, after all. Our last entry is something a little different. A lovely gal named Decoryss doesn't play League. In fact, her tumblr is called, StopPlayingLeague. What is the significance of this? We get to see into a unique love triangle of a girl, a guy, and a game. This is one particular story she illustrated for someone else, but the whole webcomic is equal parts funny and really sappy,cute. If you're looking for a little dose of both, head on over. I've been stalking it for weeks now. That's it. THat wraps up... all of 2011, in fact. Crazy isn't it? I got a quest for you. I wanna see something new. I wanna see you guys get creative in all sorts of ways. I bet if you have a talent, you can make something Showcaseable out of it. I worked on convincing someone that their skill at creating blueprints could be considered fan art. It's just having the idea.
