Hey Stampers! I'm so excited today to show you a fun, new technique
making these cute little puffy, paper flowers.
It's pretty easy to do. It's basically made out of tissue paper.
We actually carry in our catalog this Filter Paper,
when you buy it you get a pack of four of these long
rectangle ones, and eight of the circles. I made my flower
using two of these rectangles.
I'm going to start with a roll of Sticky Strip
and I'm just going to run a row of Sticky Strip
right here, down along the edge.
Trim it off. I'm going to peel that one.
I'm just going to
fold it right down in half lengthwise,
like that. I'm going to repeat the exact same thing again.
Run some Sticky Strip right along here,
and I'm going to fold it in half
lengthwise again, after peeling it. So once I've done that
it'll look like this. After that
I want to run just one more row of Sticky Strip along here,
and then I'm going to do the fun little fringing
effect. To do that I'm going to use my Fringe Scissors.
These guys are so much fun and in this case, are going to help me make my puffy
little flower.
I'm just going to pick that up and cut from the
edge right up against the Sticky Strip. That Sticky Strip
is solid enough that it actually stops my scissors, so I don't have to worry about
cutting too far. I'm going to cut
all the way along that edge. I've got one here that's already finished.
Remember, I said that I made big flower using
two of these. So let's pull in another one that is ready to go.
Now what I want to do is just to roll this up.
I'm going to grab one end of the Sticky Strip,
there we go, and
I'm going to roll it up. Roll that around.
Once you get it started it goes pretty easy.
This is how one flower looks when it's all rolled up,
just like that. So that makes a cute little flower too.
For mine I'm going to make it extra big, so I'll just pick up right where
that one left off
and add this one on.
We'll peel that,
and just pick up right there, and keep rolling it. It gets
bigger and bigger. So I'll just finish up that
and then I've got my cute
little flower. It starts to puff out. Now to finish mine off
I actually added a little bit of color to it. What I did
is use my spritzer which is right here. This is my Stampin' Spritzer
and I have added quite a bit of the Rich Razzleberry
re-inker here and some rubbing alcohol. I'm going to give this a
a little bit of color. Make sure you've got something to catch the extra color.
Spritz that. You can put as much color on as you want.
My finished one, you can see,
has that look where in the center it's a little bit whiter and lighter.
That's because at the spritzing I did. It gives it that faded effect.
There you go, that's a little simple and easy paper flower.
Have fun.
