Hi! This is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today I am
going to show you my Nativity Scene Christmas Wreath. The beginning before you put embellishments
on your wreath; you want to put your ribbon through it. You are going to take your ribbon
and come up from behind and you are going to crossover a joint. You want to weave your
ribbon in and out throughout your wreath going over joints as you go. You can use fabric
ribbon, you can use wired ribbon, you can use paper ribbon, and any ribbon will do.
Once you have gotten all the way around your wreath, you want to lay a bead of hot glue,
carefully secure your ribbon and hold it until it is cool and do the same thing with the
end of the ribbon on the other side. Then it is time to embellish your wreath. I found
this little nativity scene in a local craft store and they were actually, it was actually
a package of miniature ornaments. You can find a lot of those around Christmas time
or you can also find little packages of miniatures. These are just little miniature angels. I
clipped the little gold braid that was on the top of it, I clipped that off so that
it would not show. I meant to give it a 3D effect you want to put your ornaments on the
different areas of your wreaths. So for Joseph I put him behind all the way, for baby in
the manger I put him out in front and I put Mary on a pretzel. So you want to take your
little people or your little miniatures and arrange them around your wreath until you
are comfortable with the balance. Once you like what you have and the balance that you
have just take your hot glue gun and either lay a bead of glue on your ornament or on
your pretzel and put it all the way around. When you are finished, you want to make some
kind of a bow for the bottom of your wreath and then embellish it and then hold it on
your tree or on your wall. You want to make something to hang it with. You can take some
of the same ribbon which is what I did here, make a little chevron, secure it with your
hot glue, put it on the back and there you have a Nativity Scene Christmas Wreath ready
to hang on your Christmas tree or on your wall.
