Art Sharing Series # 1 - Blossoming

Blossoming Blossoming This piece is 'Blossoming'. Not something in full bloom but blossoming. When flowers are blooming, all the fragrance in it will come out in full force. It's like when we... like when flowers on its path to blooming fully, they are really beautiful. Flowers in bloom are really attractive. Our life can be like the flowers... when we choose to live fully, we can also blossom and live very intensely. A few years back, I noticed that the friends around me were living their lives very intently. Some switched jobs to follow their interests, finally able to do what they love most. While others had kids, some got married. It just seemed like everyone was blossoming in their lives, and that touched me. When I got back home, I decided to translate that feeling into this piece. I think it is something that is very hard to come by. Now, there are a lot of people who don't know what they want. The things they've done today, they don't really know the reason why they've done it. They are just busy, and they can be really really busy every day but they aren't neccesarily happy. At the end of the day, they feel like they've no idea what they've actually achieved. And tomorrow, the whole thing repeats itself like a vicious cycle. When we become aware of what we want to do in life, that's when we can blossom. And, we will bloom beautifully, really beautifully. When a flower is blooming brilliantly, its spirit is infectious to the people around it. When we see a flower blooming beautifully, we will also feel very happy. We will feel that, "Eh, there is something so beautiful in the world". So, when we can bloom as intensely as the flowers, we will be able to 'infect' the people around us. And they will feel that you are living well and they will also be touched by this passion for life. I feel that we should appreciate life. And when given the opportunity, we should really try to accomplish the things that we want to do and not procrastinate anymore. Only when we set out to live our life fully You can inspire the things around us, our family, our friends or even strangers. They will all be touched by your passion for life. In this painting, there are elements of the chrysanthemum in it. I guess I chose chrysanthemum because it was nearing Chinese New Year at that time and this flower was abound everywhere. A chrysanthemum in bloom is really magnificent especially the yellow kind. When it's blooming, it's really really beautiful. I really love chrysanthemums so I've decided to incorporate the beauty of the flower into this piece. You can see lots of red here and scattered around, and it is like the flowers dispersing its fragrance. You will really touch many people and this impact is priceless, not something which can be bought.
