Backup Your D2l Course Content Files to Your Workstation

hi this is assured emma participants see your content files from your course first of all you want to be open in the course that you want to be zip the files from Why would you do this? So you always have a backup of your course files that can be used outside of your course or upload to another course management system. so what we're going to do is we're going to go to them manage content area of the course so i clicked on content already and then on the left hand side of the screen you'll see a yellow folder says manage files i mean it click once on manage files it was in this area here you can see the content you can see i have many folders and its individual files in the upper right hand side there's a folder files it looks like a little piece of paper with uh... perceptron it and exit sets an icon on this side under content in forest icy full day that means everything within this managed files area is considered a full day just like if it was on your hard drive or your flash drive intelliswift everything i can click this first box and it puts a green check in everything in this case i wanna pick and choose site turning off that and i'm going to go ahead and pick content and i'm going to have gains and then i'm going to go ahead and take pictures and maybe trees and teachers so i've selected folders that i want to get out of this chorus anna on the way i can do that is bison zipping them someone at work here it this icon zip files units can take a minute here defensible wouldn't it's going to do and then it brings out this file download dialog box and in this case i want to save because i want to say that you get to my hard drive which my flash wherever i'm going to keep it simply click on save and then i'm going to save it to my desktop and so here i can see in the file name that it's a zip file but that name doesn't make payment sense to be some way to change it and this happens to maintain my demo course on the name intimal numbered and then maybe it testify at a date when did i zipped or bring down these files then i have to do is saved and then i would go to my desktop and find that folding in this case and i'm going to we're great with this download complete that lightbox i can see here it is open open folder and discussing open so you can see what it looks like and here we have four full days that i have downloaded fund i want to see what's in it all i have to do is democrat and i have access to these files with the e_i_t_c_ that html file and these are p_b_s_ i'm going to go back and maybe take a look at presentations i can see i have one part print file and these other three files have to do with harpley being a parent sized and once again why would i want to see a pic and save my files out settled by chorus because it's best practice to keep it back up
