In a journey to everywhere Between cities and nations In the presence of the Wise Remembrance The Lord of all hearts Has unified us... Has unified us all. And for the sake of memorizing the book We have knocked every door we shall continue this right path, before things come to an end [Chechnya] I'm still enjoying my visit to Grozny Centre in Chechnya I met with one of their teachers, and I truly learned much of their teaching methods We have travelled to many countries to shed light on Qur'anic centres, and find role models So that we take inspiration and follow their example of coming close to Alla's book But coming to Chechnya... Allah is my witness on what I will say! I never saw, during my entire journey, a centre like this one! This Centre is called Kheedi Kishiwa, a pious woman whom this centred was named after What is this centre, and what happens here? And how do kids learn Qur'an here? Let's ask our sheikh, the teacher who teaches them Qur'an - How are you sheikh, I hope you are well! - Praise is to Allah - Sheikh, how many students are in this centre? - We have 100 students and 5 teachers. 20 students for each -Beautiful the will of Allah! And what do you have in this centre? - It has a number of things: a community Masjid for all daily prayers and Jummah We have an internal section, classes, a cafeteria, and a gym. We have a soccer field and a wrestling facility - You guys wrestle! - Yes, it is the Sunnah of Allah's messenger may peace and praise of Allah be upon him We also have a playground for winter, and another for summer There are many secrets that will help you much to follow, especially..! When I say especially, I mean take note and pay attention to it! These would help you memorization of Allah's book The first secret is, Dawn time (Fajr); a very important time for the memorizer Allah Almighty says: ".. and the Qur'an of dawn." "Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed." Allah Almighty draws our attention to make this dawn a daily priority, especially the memorizer of Qur'an This is extremely important. A memorizer must pray Fajr. He must stay till sunrise I remind myself and you, my brothers In this time, mind is clear, blessings descend, and rewards are multiplied Make sure you dedicate a page for memorization at that time Try memorining a page at dawn, and another at noon. You'll see the difference in quaity And this is the amazing secret " Oh my brother, the Dawn recitation of Quran is witnessed" " And all the good is tied to its words" " So be keen on it, don't spare any effort for that" " For that any good you do, you'll get back" " So be keen on it, don't spare any effort for that" " For that any good you do, any good, any good, you'll get it all back" " Indeed the giant mountains over the horizon" " They tremble by hearing of the Qur'an recitation" What is the daily schedule in this Centre? Starting from dawn to the night! After Dawn prayer, we dedicate 4 hours of memorization time, dedicated to both memorize and memorization tests For reasons of the bless in that time, and students' minds are so clear at it More ready to receive and memorize new information After that they have breakfast, then they rest till noon They eat lunch right before duhr prayer. Between the duhr and Asr prayers, a period of 3 hours that is dedicated for revision Then between Asr and Maghrib [sunset] prayers, is gym time They play soccer and wrestling, with special coaches - On a daily bases? - Yes between Asr and Maghrib paryers Then from sunset to Isha prayer, they revise and get ready for the next day's test Then, after we all pray Isha, they can go to sleep Very beautiful schedule! It helps students learn the Qur'an it doesn't restrict them, and allow them time for leisure activities The second secret is something I used to do myself when I memorize the Qur'an Before I sleep by an hour, I had to memorize a page or two I had to revise something before I sleep And when I wake up, I find it solidified in my head that I don't forget easily These are crucial secrets The third; a sustainable small amount, is better than a non-sustainable big amount those who want to memorize the Qur'an listen to our show and get so excited about the secrets and tips given That person gets so motivated! Which is exactly what we hope But don't push yourself too hard Don't just say, I loved memorizing the Qur'an so much that I'll do a Juzz, half a Juzz or 3 pages everyday Don't do that much if you can't sustain it I had a peer who was learning Qur'an with my sheikh. He was very excited to memorize the Qur'an So he started right off, memorizing 2,3 ,sometimes 4 pages Then one day the sheikh told him " You recite to me 3 or 4 pages then stop for a week or two, then back, then stop for a month!" " This is wrong, you need consistency in memorizing Allah's book" He said: " All I want from you is only 2 verses after each prayer, only" " Only 2!" So only 10 verses a day Sometimes, he would want to recite 12 verses, and the sheikh cuts him off saying: " Leave the other 2 for tomorrow!" He memorized the Qur'an in this way! - For how long does a student stay in this centre to finish memorizing the Qur'an? - Our target plan to our students, based on what we saw from their performance - ..A maximum of 3 years - 3 years maximum, and they are done! It started raining during our tour, so they took us through underground Seems like all buildings here are connected through an underground path as an emergency procedure Indeed, it's a very distinguished Qur'anic Centre When me and my team got here, we didn't imagine this! You can see heavy rain outside We were with the students at the interior section, and we wanted to go out to the Masjid So I told my team, we can't get there now because the rain is so heavy So they told us not to worry, you can go through, by underground, without having to walk in the rain It turned out that all these facilities are completely connected on the underground level Now you have all seen these amazing centres of Chechnya Really they amazed me! Some would think that such facility is impossible to exist, even in our country, Kuwait In this amazing Masjid, gardens, living centre, students stay for 2-2.5 years memorizing the Qur'an Can you believe that I used to sit with my friends, people of the Qur'an and draw a dream centre, that looked exactly like this one Hoping that one day, we will have a place like it in Kuwait Beautiful masjid and gardens, comfortable rooms and a restaurant, facilities that anyone would need to learn Qur'an properly They all used to say to me; it's impossible! Until I came to Chechnya and saw it with my eyes A very very beautiful place for the memorizers of Allah's book I wish that we have such a centre in Kuwait, in the Gulf, and in every Arab and Muslim country Places to care for the Qur'an! A student doesn't need to even go out of this place to play. Everything is available inside May Allah bless their efforts and reward them immensely for their great work in care of His book SWT Dear parent, I have a very effective way if you want to encourage your child to memorize the Qur'an and successfully fulfill this important investment, for Both of you, parents, and memorize the whole Qur'an let them always recite the Qur'an for you how? You can't take the role of the qualified teacher for your child But if your child comes from school for example, Ask him " Baby, what did you memorize today?" He'd say for example " I memorized Al-Mursalat dad" Say " Bring your book, I want to hear you reciting" And you, dear mother Before you take your child to school ask him to recite some for you Why is that?! Because it makes them feel how important for you what they are doing If you ask them to recite all the time, in the car, in the market, everywhere They realize how much you love them to memorize the Qur'an and this would motivate them so much It's even enjoyable for you Can you imagine you getting ready to sleep, and hear your son's voice. So you call him in And ask him to recite some of his memorization to you From anywhere in the Qur'an You too mother, after the meals, when you spend time with you relatives Call up your child and ask him to recite for your guests some Qur'an This is an extremely important tip that helps your child so much to memorize the Qur'an It will motivate your child very much and help them carry on this journey, by Allah's will So let me repeat it once more Father and mother, listen to your child's recitation at any time This is good for them by Allah's will [Egypt] At Abrar- Masr's institute, I met Abdul-Wahab Abdul-Latif, who memorized the whole Qur'an He has the dawn Syndrome Very amazing example, a hafidh with a very special need - Sheikh Abdul-Wahab - Yes - How are you my beloved? - Praise is to Allah - You memorized the Qur'an, Abdul-Wahab? - Yes - how old were you when you did? - 14 years - That's when you finished! - yes - The will of Allah! Do you revise it every day? - Yes I do - How do you revise - I revise everyday... I recite it all every week - Every single week! [ Abdul-Wahab's Mother] We discovered his medical condition very early So we started treatment, until one doctor recommended us to direct him towards memorizing the Qur'an We were so excited because he learned some English words But the doctor was not happy about it and demanded us to get him to memorize the Qur'an So Abdul-Wahab wasn't able to pronounce clear words until he reached 14 years old But we purposely used to let him hear it He used to run as soon as he hears it, open his Qur'an book, and point to us the verse that is being recited He hadn't started memorize it by that time So when we saw that, we got him a teacher I envy you, but in a good way; because you preserved Qur'an in your heart So you are better than all of us - Am I right? - Yes - May Allah bless you. Will you answer me if I ask you of Qur'an Adul-Wahab? - Yes - Are you sure? Any place I want? - Yes, any place Let's go then " In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful." " Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity." "It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned." - This is Surat-ul Baqarah - That's true " In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful." "You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people." It is such a great bounty that Allah Almighty bestowed on our family He is truly is the light for our house He makes us all smile, and he gives so much love and care for all those close to him If I ask you about the chapters of "H`a, Meem". What is the first surah that starts with that verse? - First is Ghafir - Okay, then? " The revelation of the Book is from Allah , the Exalted in Might, the Knowing." - Excellent this is still Ghafir. What's after it? - Fusilat - Great, and then? - Then Al-Shurah, AlZukhruf, Al-Dukhan, and Al-Jathiyah - Beautiful is the will of Allah, and what is th last of them? - Al-Ah`qaf Great! Bless is Allah! I asked him about the chapters that start with "H`a, Meem" and he immediately gave me all of them in order May Allah bless him. I truly enjoy meeting such examples Especially now, in a time that I feel we are all falling much short of our duty to Qur'an [Identical verse in 3 chapters: 6:10, 13:32, 21:41] " And already were messengers ridiculed before you."Sheikh, where is this verse mentioned? - In Al-An`am! - Right! And where else? -The end of Ar-Rad - Correct, and there is one more! - Al-An..! - Al-Anbiya'a! - Excellent! I feel overwhelmingly happy and always say " I am Abdul-Wahab's Mother" He is my 3rd child but he got so famous, and people don't know my other children, and I am proud to be called "Umm Abdul-Wahab" - So then, what are the verses that contain prostration? - Al-Araf, AlRa`d, Al-Nah`l, Al-Isra'a, Maryam, Al-Haj, Al-Furqan, Alsajdah, S`ad, fusilat, Al-Inshiq`aq`, Al-Najm, and Al-A`alaq` - May Allah bless you! And what is the surah with 2 prostrations? - Surat AlH`aj Beautiful, tell me both of these verses! - What is the 1st one? - "..Allah does what He wills" - right! - And " O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed." The end of Surah AlH`aj! May Allah bless you Let me remind you again, this interview is not a showcase, it's not entertainment! We took the effort and traveled to meet such people. Because people with special needs face more challenges memorizing the Qur'an Unlike ourselves, who can much more easily memorize and learn Really someone like Sh. Abdul-Wahab makes us feel ashamed when we see his high dedication to memorize the Qur'an And even myself, having memorized the Qur'an, I can't answer most of the Questions I asked him By Allah, I wouldn't know the answers the way he did! I call on each mother, instead of being happy that your child learned a song Direct their learning in a better way, to Allah's book!
