Second in Group H behind Manchester United, CFR Cluj are harbouring real expectations
that they can reach the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time.
The Romanian side are now managed by Portuguese coach Paulo Sergio following their last outing,
a 1-1 draw in Istanbul against Galatasaray.
Cluj have already beaten Braga away before a narrow 2-1 home defeat to Manchester United.
The newly installed coach recognises their opponents have their strengths - but also
believes there are weaknesses his side can exploit.
"They (Galatasaray) are a strong team they have a lot of abilities, technical abilities.
A team very fast, very vertical in their movements in their attack but they have their problems
too. If they don't have problems probably they will lead the Turkish league - and they
are not. So other teams are scoring against Gala too so we have our chances. "
Cluj warmed up for Wednesday's game with a 5-0 win in the Romanian league, whilst Galatasaray
arrive in Romania on the back of a domestic 3-1 win that sees them maintain their position
at the top of the Turkish Super Lig.
Sergio has only one injury concern heading into the tie - with Brazilian midfielder Rafael
Bastos expected to miss the encounter through injury.
