This afternoon at the Government Office,
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung welcomed the Foreign Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, H.E Patrice Nisbett
during his official visit to Vietnam.
Saint Kitts and Nevis is an island state situated in the Caribbean
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highly appreciated the discussion between the Deputy Prime Minister
and Foreign Minister, H.E Pham Binh Minh, with the Hon. Patrice Nisbett
and he considered the visit from the Foreign Minister as the turning of a new page

and sharing the Millennium Development Goals implementation experiences.

To encourage cooperation, the Prime Minister proposed that the two nations establish a framework
to ensure collaboration in fields such as economics, trade, investment, education, telecommunication, agriculture, tourism
In return, Hon. Patrice Nisbett stressed that the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis
highly values potential cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the fields of trade and investment.
The country also wished to learn from experience of Vietnam in socio-economic developments.

This is the first official visit from a Minister in the federal government.
The visit took place right after the two countries signed a Joint Communique to establish diplomatic relation
through the ambassadors stationed at the UN on November 1st, 2013.
