Hello everyone! This is channel "Scale Journal".
And this is another video on the assembly of the early Tiger.
In the last video I started with, that shown by the first two figures that I painted.
And today's video I'm going to start with the fact that will show the current status of second figures.
They are still not fully colored.
For them I plan to make the camouflage.
While that painted only in base, but overall the face already drawn.
Perhaps even some minor amendments will be, but most I have already finished.
For faces in this time I have used shades from bodily Pacific88.
In principle, these four colors is quite comfortable to painting faces.
For eyes need white and black paint.
At the moment with tank there is nothing done, at least from the last time.
Now I am planning to assemble the turret. The small details of hull will work out later.
And, when I assemble something on the turret, I'll show.
I assembled the turret, but not entirely.
While the tower is glued I started to draw the camouflage on one of the figures.
Then decided to measure the figures after gluing the two halves of the turret.
And it turned out that the figures do not fit to this tank.
Either they need to be put outside, or I don't know.
Research on the Internet and did not find photos of this set with these figures.
So they are somehow more or less clear.
So with figurines of the tank already I will not do that.
These figures are postponed until better times.
It is possible them somewhere separately to attach, and perhaps will leave for the experiments.
So at this stage the figures completely dropped out of the project.
Now I'll tell you on the turret.
Two halves aligned pretty well.
Joints almost wasn't here.
But the only thing I had to do after gluing - hard tie up , so it well connected.
Because without tie up there was a gap of 3-4 mm.
This is the first minus of the turret.
After I glued the halves I glued all the hatches.
Assembled this hatch, but as figures already not supposed to, then I make it closed.
On this hatch I interior detail I didn't glue.
Because the hatch will be closed.
The improvements on the turret that I did.
First, I added the weld bead on the top.
Tried to do it for the first time from Two-component epoxy composition.
Honestly, I did not like.
It will be necessary then to try to do things a little differently.
And, if something interesting happens, I'll probably shoot a separate video about it.
Next, I have the old technology added weld seams on these peepholes and loop.
This is an old method, which I have already shown on your channel.
The link will be on the screen and in the video description.
I used the sprue in three places.
Also replaced the standard plastic grab handles on the wire.
The next improvements was with the rear box.
Here I added damage from splinters, small dents.
Did experimentally, without specific binding to the sample.
What happened, happened. Maybe then something else will be added.
Now it looks like this .
In this series I will try to finish the turret until the end.
Instruction in this respect upset me.
Where to attach plastic parts, which are then hung spare tracks, do not understand.
On turret there are no placeholders for gluing.
The same thing we have with smoke bombs.
Although the instructions there are placeholders where it should be installed.
But on plastic is nothing.
So I'm going to examine photos on the Internet.
And after coming to some conclusion, will glued in place.
Here is another problem of the turret.
The barrel glued together pretty well.
Especially in the upper part.
Strong treatment was not required, joints are virtually invisible.
And after priming and painting, I think absolutely that will not be seen.
Now I will try all this to finish and show.
Probably, it will be the final stage in this video.
All work on turret is completed.
What was done, I hung smoke grenades.
Imitated the weld on mounts. Added a simulated wiring.
Including for grenades.
Glued already fully main weapon.
Glued the back box.
Nothing else here was added.
And glued a mount for the spare tracks.
Location I found on the Internet (photo on screen).
But the lower mounts had to invent himself.
Failed to do so, as it looked really.
But since the task is to make a copy is not necessary, I made a simplified version.
Drilled each tracks so that can insert the pin.
Model of plastic (thickness of 0.3 mm) I cut out of a plate .
And inserted the hooks from the wire on which are hung tracks.
Hung and fixed.
Also here I do small imitation of the welding seam.
And similarly on this side.
Only for five tracks here.
Did an imitation of the fastenings.
In the end I will glue them permanently.
At this point I've done video.
Work with the turret fully completed.
Will try at the end to make a normal photos to show closer that was done.
Next is the hull.
That's about it.
Thank you all for watching!
