Live across the nation. Let's unleash the talent. The first 12 quarterfinalists perform with their sights set on Las Vegas. That was sensational. That is without any doubt the performance of the night. That brought it all to the stage. Fun. Deal or no deal? Deal. Thank you. Very, very sexy. My inner kitty cat is purring. Sally, you're a dirty girl. Justin bieber just called and wants his hair back. Mr. clean just called. Don't your votes are in and the first four semifinalists are chosen. Whose dream will live on? Kung fu heroes, Christina and Ali, airpocalypse, the hot shot tap dancers. Sally cohn, rng, fighting gravity and Nathaniel kenyon. This is "america's got talent the results." Live from Hollywood, it's "America's got talent - the results." Now, here is your host, Nick Cannon! Hollywood! How are you guys doing? Welcome to "america's got talent - the results." We're live here in Hollywood. Last night was crazy. Our first 12 quarterfinalists gave everything they had. And tonight we find out who has made it into the semifinals. There are some serious nervous people backstage right now. How is it going, guys? All right. They look like they're okay now. By the end of the show only four will be celebrating for the other eight the dream will come to an end. Going to get tense in there. Coming up one of America's hottest singers is here with her band, selena Gomez. And the stars of the smash hit Broadway musical "rock of ages" will be blazing the stage. Your votes have decided who is taking the first three places in the next round. The fourth act will be chosen by our judges. Piers Morgan. Sharon osbourne. And Howie mandel. Miss Sharon, you look lovely tonight as usual. Thank you. How do you think everybody did last night? You know what? You take into consideration that these people have never played to millions of viewers before. I think they did exceptionally well. I agree. Now, Howie, you said that performing live would be, you know, very difficult for our acts. How do you think they handled it? To be honest with you, I have mixed emotions, I really do. The first one is excitement because I truly believe that last night, I won't mention it, I saw an act that I believe is going to make it all the way to the end. I believe I saw that. And the other emotion I have is shame but that has nothing to do with the show. All right. Well, that brings me to my next question. Piers, last night was Howie's first live show. How well do you think he did? Oh, that's a very I never thought I would say this but I actually quite miss David Hasselhoff. The buzzer is not working tonight. Oh. It's crunch time. I'm worried about you and mostly about me. I think we're beginning to see in you something resembling a pop star. You've got the x factor. Thank you. He was not at my best vocally because I was a little sick. I hope America sees the talent I have behind that and they vote me through. Amazing how much you can do with absolutely nothing. It's fun. It was by far the best performance we've ever had. What could be better than moving on to the next round and bringing on an even bigger show? I think people will remember you. There are millions of dancers, a lot of singers but there is only one Sally cohn. My inner kitty cat is purring. I nailed it. I didn't think I would nail it, but I did. Oh my God. I just can't believe it. So we have Nathaniel kenyon, airpocalypse and Sally cohn. One of the acts will be staying in Hollywood and one will be going to the next round and one will be going home. Piers, do you know who is going home and who is going through? You could not get three more different acts than this. No show in the world where you would get three acts like that. I don't think you have a clue, either. I don't have a clue, the audience doesn't. It will be exciting. Any three of you could go through. Interesting. All right, America, did you use your votes wisely? Let's find out what you've done. America has voted. The act going into the semifinals and moving one step closer to that $1 million and the headline show in Las Vegas is. Nathaniel kenyon! Wow. Nathaniel. Congratulations, brother. You are now in the semifinals. You have to tell me, I mean, you had a tough night last night. You were a little sick, nerves. Is this a huge relief? This is an enormous relief. So now I'm ready to come back not sick and give the best vocal performance of my life. Sharon, did America get it right? Oh, America got it right. They always get it right. So, miss selena, you became a big star at a very early age and we have a lot of young contestants on this show. Do you have any advice for them? I would say make sure you're passionate about it. I think you'll find America is loving what I do. I wouldn't. This is the most dangerous thing you've ever said. The judges can say whatever they like from now on. Maybe they're not used to talent from this perspective. I have to be very careful with you, love. If I say the wrong word you might kill me. I didn't find it as enthralling as your audition. You are a very good young man. Power rangers with no shirts and eye shadow. We did our best and 100%. The judges may not have loved it but I hope America does. Again, you blew me away. I think America is going to love this. You guys are phenomenal. Cirque du soleil move over. It felt our our best performance by far. We don't want to go home. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Here are Nick pike, kung fu heroes and fighting gravity. One of them with the lights of Vegas. For the other two the lights of home. Sharon, how do you think these three did last night? Well, I think that fighting gravity were absolutely mind blowing. I thought they were incredible. I think that kung fu heroes did better at your audition stages but I know you have it in you to come back and do better again. And Nick, you know, he set himself on fire. We've seen it all before and once you set yourself on fire where else are you going to go? Well, this is it. Let's find out what blew your minds last night. America has voted. The routine went perfectly as far as what we planned to do. I really take on what you did say looking back on the tape after watching it live. I'm hot headed. I got angry and I apologize. Every time I see you two you make me smile. You are so beautiful and it is so inspirational and just seeing you together and hearing the sounds of your voice, I love you. I still just can't believe it. I just went out there and performed in front of millions of people. It was amazing. It was so much fun. That's me? Looks like you to me. I can watch you literally forever. Beautiful. I also admire the art. You have made art very, very sexy. I have a lot more. It was all a bit fake. To do a tap dance you have to go for it. I like the blend of the classic tap with the current music. I think it with a make tapping very current. We've nailed it. We took the nail, put it right down there, took the hammer and nailed it. We've got so much more ready to give to America. We're ready. Three acts. This has to be nerve-wracking for all of them. You each are also as piers said the last time you were asked, they're all so different, you know? I think that each of you gave it your all and ultimately it's like an entertainment pawnshop. I hate this that we have to give up something of value to go on. So, you know, I wish we could keep you all but two of you are going and I know you gave it your all. I don't know what enough is. We're about to find out, right? Yes, we are. One of these acts is about to hear some great news. Let's see who will be jumping for joy. America has voted. The third act going into the semifinals and moving one step closer to $1 million and the headline show in Las Vegas is: Christina and Ali. Congratulations, Christina and Ali. Congratulations so much. I know this has been quite the emotional experience for the both of you. How good does it feel? It feels amazing. We did this for our sister who passed away a year ago this month and we're so excited that we have this opportunity. Piers, what advice do you have for them going into the next round? You won the hearts of America. You have an incredibly inspiring story behind your performance but now it gets serious for you. There are brilliant singers this year, the best I can ever remember any stage of this competition. So if you want to really win you'll have to go and practice, practice, practice and get your singing to a level where everybody else's hearts are, which is high, okay? Good luck. All right. We have rng, Paul safy junior and future funk. So, I mean, you have to tell me, what is going through your mind right now? Well, all of us have been lots of friends and I'm just so excited. You're so excited. You said you made a lot of friends. You guys were all hugging and everything like that. Are you wishing that everybody could go through, right? Yes. All right. Well, ladies, how bad do you guys want it? We want this so bad. It is our lives. We've been doing this for so long and I don't want to go home but this week was so big with talent. Everybody in the show last night was so spectacular so I think it's anybody's game. All right. Well, we'll find out who will take the fourth and final spot shortly. But right now let's get into some classic 1980s rock from the hit Broadway musical and they have a very, very special guest. Give it up for the "rock of ages". Come on, make some noise! I want to rock. Oh, yeah. I want to rock. All right, ladies and gentlemen, from twisted sister! Come on, y'all know this one. "Rock of ages", baby. In a lonely world. She took a midnight train going raised in south Detroit. He took the midnight train come on! Down the boulevard. They're shadows, searching in just to find emotion. Wow! Rock of ages. That was amazing. Dee snider, rock of ages. Now, constantine you've been on a big talent show before so you know exactly what the contestants are going through. Do you have any advice for them? Just say go for it, man. Go out here, enjoy this experience, it's going to change your life and enjoy the time on the show and just go with your heart, man. Great advice. Thanks. Now rock of ages is playing on Broadway and in Toronto and it starts its national tour in August. Please give it up one more time for constantine, emmy padgett and Dee snider. Only one of them will make it into the next round and this time our judges will decide who that will be. Please come and join me rng, Paul safy junior and future funk. You have a great tone in your voice, that classic Vegas feel to your voice. It's a little cheesy. I like cheese. I left it all out there and now it's a waiting game. You're perfectly good dancers. Now we're looking for amazing dancers. What you did tonight was spot on. I think it's perfect for your age. You danced really well. I loved the whole theme of it. It was well done. We'll be really disappointed what piers said but we hope America disagrees. Our last three acts we have future funk, Paul safy junior and rng. One of you is about to take a step closer to the $1 million. The other two are about to go home. Sharon, what are your thoughts when you see these three standing here? Well, first I feel really bad for Paul because he stood next to probably the cutest contestant on the show and he's right in the middle here. But you know what? They each deserve. Are you saying Paul's not cute? No, but each of you, you know, each act deserves to be here and, you know, now it's make or break it time. It is make or break it time. As I said earlier the judges are going to decide who takes the final spot in the semifinals. But they have to choose between just two acts. So first we need to send one home. Based on your votes, America, let's find out who that is. America has voted. The act leaving the competition and going home is: Paul safy junior. Paul, I mean, how did you enjoy this experience? It's been a great experience, right? The biggest stage I've ever been on. Opportunity of a lifetime and it is definitely not the end for me. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up one more time for Paul safy junior. Thank you very much. Let me get in between you two. Rng. Do you think you guys did enough to make it through? I think we absolutely did enough. I mean, we've tried our hardest and we just want to stay. All right. Seems like future funk. Why do you think the judge should pick you? I think should pick us because we're different from all the dancers. We do comedy, act, dance, we do the whole package. Do you feel the same way? Yep. All right. We have two acts both desperate for the fourth spot. Man, rng, future funk. They came in fourth and fifth in the audience vote. Who stays and who goes will be up to you judges. A tough call. They're going to the semifinals and there is just one place left and we have two acts who want it really bad. I feel like I'm standing in between the stars of tomorrow. Who do you want to put through to the next round? This is a very difficult call because you have two very talented young acts. The girls are definitely in my view better technical dancers. The boys, they're funny. They are entertaining. Something different than just technical dancing. So in the end I thought about it carefully. My vote is going to go with the act that I personally enjoy most and that is future funk. Sharon. Nick, it's like asking me do I like peaches or strawberries, which one do you like? I love them both. So because of technical ability and I think they're ahead of the game on technical side, it has to be rng. Howie, it's up to you. We've got 30 seconds left on television. Howie, 16 seconds. I have little girls and I love you and you dance and I really loved the routine. The show is going off, who? You guys are so funny and adorable. You're the whole ackage.
