>> Welcome to Hershey's Kitchens. I'm Linda Stahl. Everyone knows that cocoa is a baking
staple, but did you know that cocoa lends itself to savory dishes as well? Today we'll
look at a few easy ways to incorporate cocoa in your everyday dishes. Cocoa adds an extra
depth to your savory dishes. It adds a slight smoky note. A good way to use it is in the
simple Sloppy Joe recipe. Cocoa lends itself to Asian cuisine as well. Here we have a simple
beef stir fry that uses cocoa, ginger, soy sauce, and garlic. I like to use cocoa to
make a really simple rub that's good for poultry, meats and seafood, and you can keep this mixture
for up to six weeks if stored in a dry, airtight container. Cocoa even lends itself to homemade
dipping sauces. Here we have a Ranch-style barbecue sauce, a sloppy dawg sauce, and these
will enhance any of your finger foods. So for these savory cocoa recipes and more, visit
