Today I am going to show you how to make a popular dessert in Morocco: Coconut Truffles
When I was a kid I used to love these coconut truffles
Because they simply melt in your mouth
I used to think it was complicated to make
But it only takes 3 ingredients to impress your friends and family
2.5 cups of dried coconut flakes
14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
Roasted almonds, you can substitute the almonds with walnuts or hazelnuts
Choose the medium shredded coconut flakes
Mix the sweetened condensed milk and the coconut flakes
You should be able to form balls with the mixture
Otherwise add more coconut flakes
Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes
Now we are going to assemble the coconut truffles
So we need the coconut mixture, almonds, and more coconut flakes
Make a ball with the coconut mixture
Insert an almond inside the ball
Roll the coconut ball in the coconut flakes
Wash your hands with water from time to time
Put the coconut truffles in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours
Serve the coconut truffles cold
