KATIE LEE: It's a family affair.
Victoria Beckham, Anna Wintour and her daughter
join the Beckham boys front row.
YEEZY Season 2 disrupts the fashion calendar.
And a certain lady went "Gaga" for Nicopanda.
This is day four.
Hey, everybody, welcome to "Coffee Break" at New York
Fashion Week.
Yay!
I'm Katie Lee.
And I'm filling in for Joe Zee, Editor in Chief of Yahoo Style.
And next to me is my cohost for today,
the fashion loving hockey player turned home designer.
He does it all.
Mr. Sean Avery.
SEAN AVERY: Thank you for having me, Katie.
KATIE LEE: I'm so excited for you to be here.
Because usually we only see each other sweaty
at the gym in the Hamptons.
SEAN AVERY: Yeah.
KATIE LEE: So now we get dressed.
SEAN AVERY: We get dressed.
We put makeup on together.
KATIE LEE: I know, yep.
We had to get up very early to put our makeup on.
SEAN AVERY: I did SoulCycle this morning, though.
KATIE LEE: You did?
Wow.
Well, now I really felt like an underachiever.
He's already had a work out.
It's probably not happening for me today.
So what do you love about Fashion Week?
SEAN AVERY: You know, what I used
to love about Fashion Week was getting dressed up,
going to shows, and you know, wrestling crowds and dealing
with all of that nonsense.
Now, I love waking up, going on Style.com,
looking at the shows, reading all the write ups,
and just kind of taking it into my own little personal space.
KATIE LEE: Technology's made it a lot easier, hasn't it?
SEAN AVERY: A lot easier.
A lot easier.
I can't bear to think of wrestling
a bunch of 20-year-olds that have been up all night
trying to get to my seat.
KATIE LEE: Yeah, I used to like that too.
Like, it seems like fashion shows sound so glamorous.
But really, like, you get there.
And it's a big crowd and it's over in about 12 minutes.
SEAN AVERY: It's very quick.
KATIE LEE: It is.
SEAN AVERY: I was wondering, though,
what about today with you?
Do you feel something a little bit different today?
KATIE LEE: Well, I do feel a little different today.
Because I'm a little bit older.
It's my birthday.
SEAN AVERY: Happy 21st birthday, Katie.
KATIE LEE: Oh my gosh!
There's a cake?
I'm so surprised!
Yay!
Woo hoo!
Oh, thank you so much.
-Happy birthday!
KATIE LEE: Ooh.
you know, just what you want on Fashion Week
is a cake in a dress that's too tight.
SEAN AVERY: Fantastic.
KATIE LEE: Thank you.
SEAN AVERY: You're welcome.
KATIE LEE: Well, I better make a wish.
What do I wish for?
A very fashionable 34th year.
Yay!
And I'll just put that in the freezer until next week.
SEAN AVERY: She said her age on live television.
What a confident woman.
KATIE LEE: You know, it feels good, I guess.
SEAN AVERY: I like it.
I like it.
KATIE LEE: 34's feeling good.
This is a good way to start out.
And it is day four of Fashion Week.
And some of fashion's heavy hitters showed yesterday.
So let's take a quick look at the highlights.
Victoria Beckham rocked Urban Surf on her runway.
Ooh, what do you think of that, Sean?
SEAN AVERY: You know, Victoria Beckham, I think, listen.
She's the real deal.
KATIE LEE: She is.
SEAN AVERY: She's the real deal now.
I haven't seen the pictures from the show.
But I'm sure it's-- I'm sure it's fabulous.
KATIE LEE: Yeah, I love her designs.
I think they all, like, fit so well.
I always feel thinner when I put on one of her dresses.
Because they, like, really, like, suck you in.
They're good.
SEAN AVERY: I would say that that's the key to success,
if you can make women feel thin.
KATIE LEE: The Frank Lloyd Wright inspired designs
at Opening Ceremony wowed fans like Kylie Jenner
and her main man, Tyga.
And Sierra and Haley Baldwin sat front row
as Public School unveiled a more sleek and feminine silhouette.
Plus we'll have highlights from Diane Von Furstenberg, Prabal
Gurung, and more later in the show.
But first, yesterday he promised it on the show.
But with flying back to LA and the launch of his new talk
show, I'll be really honest.
I didn't quite believe him.
But apparently he doesn't sleep.
Here, via Skype, is-- to prove me wrong--
the man of Yahoo Style, Mister Joe Zee, himself.
Hey, Joe.
JOE ZEE: Hi.
Hey guys, what's going on?
KATIE LEE: How are you?
SEAN AVERY: How you doing, Joe?
JOE ZEE: Well, I'm good.
Well, first of all, I have to say, Sean,
you're rocking a black t-shirt in the most S-sexy way as
possible.
SEAN AVERY: I-- I was going to wear no shirt.
And they told me that I actually had to wear a shirt.
KATIE LEE: No, I don't know who told him that Joe.
SEAN AVERY: Sorry Joe.
JOE ZEE: Oh, yeah, well, since I had to go to LA,
I was like, well, get another sex symbol to take my place.
And Katie, happy birthday.
I'm not going to sing the song.
KATIE LEE: Thank you.
JOE ZEE: Because no one at Yahoo can afford it.
KATIE LEE: Well, I heard you're a really good singer.
So you can sing it to me later.
JOE ZEE: I really am not.
But we'll just pretend all of that.
KATIE LEE: Are you so excited for "FABLife" today?
JOE ZEE: I know, today's the big premiere.
So it's kind of crazy.
I'm nervous.
Can you be nervous still?
I'm nervous.
It's exciting.
It's all that stuff.
But-- but it's fun, yeah.
KATIE LEE: Oh, look, there you are. you look so handsome.
What's the first episode about?
JOE ZEE: Well, the first episode is really
just sort of foundation.
You know, it's like the first day of school.
It's getting to know everybody, getting
to know where everything is, what the show's about.
And maybe I might have pushed Tyra into Chrissy a little bit.
KATIE LEE: Oh, really?
JOE ZEE: I don't know.
You'll have to see.
I may have pushed Tyra.
And she may have spilt some wine on Chrissy.
KATIE LEE: Uh-oh.
It's a fashion mishap.
JOE ZEE: You know, we're a family.
It's all-- it's all in jest.
We love each other.
So it's all good fun.
KATIE LEE: I bet, then, you'll probably, like, teach us
how to get a stain out or something like that.
JOE ZEE: Well, you know, everything comes with a lesson.
KATIE LEE: Uh-huh.
JOE ZEE: So my lesson-- my lesson is don't push Tyra.
The other lesson is how to get the wine stain out.
KATIE LEE: So what are you missing about being
in New York for Fashion Week?
JOE ZEE: I am so sad about missing Fashion Week.
I was actually on the plane last night.
And I was scrolling through Instagram
on the plane of all the-- everybody's feed.
And I was like, oh, Prabal's show looks so beautiful.
Diane's show looked so beautiful.
It's like, I had a lot of FOMO.
So it was kind of hard.
And then I got to LA and they lost my luggage.
So--
KATIE LEE: Oh no!
Well, I hope you have backup, something to wear today.
JOE ZEE: You can't tell?
KATIE LEE: Joe, did-- did you hear the news, yesterday,
that Kanye disrupted the Fashion Week schedule, that he finally
announced when his show was taking place.
And two other designers had shows already
planned at the same time?
JOE ZEE: I know.
I was actually reading that on the plane last night.
And at the same time, answering an email to Kanye's people,
saying, I couldn't come to the show.
Because you know, I'm not going to be there.
So I was actually kind of bummed.
I feel really bad for those of other designers.
Because it does take a long time to get a show up and going.
It's a ton of money.
And it's basically asking someone
to reschedule their wedding.
Because you know, someone else is getting
married at the same time.
KATIE LEE: Yes, it is, isn't it?
JOE ZEE: Do you know what I mean?
KATIE LEE: Well, Kanye's always been
known to be very considerate.
Well, it's so good to see you, Joe.
Good luck today.
Congratulations on "FABLife".
We'll all be watching.
And Joe's costar on "FABLife", supermodel and Sports
Illustrated swimsuit cover model, Chrissy Teigen,
she's just crazy busy these days.
She's everywhere.
