Welcome, exhibitor, to the Shed Gallery!
The Shed Gallery is a great place to exhibit your art
and we are so pleased you decided to join us – we hope you enjoy your stay!
This is the first in a series of tutorial videos that explain
how your exhibitor profile works and how you can update it.
This video explains what each section of your Exhibitor Profile is for
We will then go on to show you how to update your profile
and add new images.
Visitors to the website can search for a specific exhibitor using the search box
or Browse through the Shed Gallery Exhibitors by clicking on the exhibitors page here.
or
The Exhibitors page includes your profile image, the first few paragraphs of your profile biography and the latest images you have uploaded to your profile, so this is your chance to draw visitor’s attention to yourself! From this page, visitors to the site can view into your profile, which includes the following sections
Your current collection of work forms the centerpiece of your entire profile. Here, you can display up to 15 pieces of work, which visitors may browse through by clicking on the arrows as shown
If they like a piece, they may click on it to read your description of the image, purchase a print or even the original if it is available.
Registered members of the shed community can also like individual images and leave comments about them as shown here
The website keeps track of how many people view these images and shows the top 3 on our homepage.
let's start with the wall
Here, registered members of the shed community and other exhibitors can interact with you and tell you what they think about your work – this is a great way to get feedback on your current collection.
To leave a comment, you just need to be logged in
The profile tab is your chance to tell everyone about yourself – this tab will show your image and your biography, which we will show you how to update in our next video
The commission tab tells visitors if you accept commissions, shows examples of previous work and lists the type of work you undertake, the days your area available and your price range.
If a visitor want to request a commission, they can fill in the form and we will put you in touch with them.
The portfolio tab gives you the chance to exhibit other examples of your work that are not in your current collection. You can organise these into groups, or collections of work as you want – don’t worry, we’ll show you how to do that in another video!
Finally, don’t forget the sharing and like tools at the top of your profile page – this is a great way for both yourself and visitors to share your work so make use of them!
