This is Valda Sarty from Sarty Mountain Inc. on behalf of Expert Village. This step is
cutting and applying the fiber glass mesh. You can use either fiberglass mesh or silk
fabric when doing fiberglass nails; some times referred to as silks or wraps. You want to
determine the width o f the client's nails making sure that you allow for the full coverage
of a nail bed. Cut your fabric with ample room to cover the bed. Remove the adhesive
backing. Place the mesh completely over the nail bed. Cut the end even with the end of
the tip at the length that you have determined where you wanted your tip. And then lay your
scissors right in the nail groove directly down and remove the corner. When your application
is finished, you should have the mesh covering the entire nail which is just a very small
section between the mesh and the skin. You never want to have the mesh on the skin. Apply
pressure to the mesh and make sure that it all securely tacked down and repeat the step
on all 10 nails. Watch the next step on applying adhesive to the fabric mesh.
