Network Marketing 101 And How to Build It The Right Way

Hey everybody, Bruce Haines of mlmwildfire.com coming to you today with a quick little primer or primer on network marketing. If you're watching this video and you've never been involved with network marketing, or multi-level marketing, as it's called, this video is for you. I'll be as brief as I can without making this stupidly long, but it will give you some concepts so you'll walk away knowing what it is that you're looking at. If someone has approached you about becoming involved with a network marketing company, what does that mean? Well, by definition, network marketing is any company that does not send, or does not sell their products to a retail public. They use distributors, or associates, that pay a fee - sometimes for free - buy most times they pay a fee, that allows them the opportunity to sell their products to the public. For selling their products, they earn a commission. The way that you grow a big business in network marketing is that you talk to other people, who are then enrolled in the business like you were, and they sell products, and you earn commissions on their commissions (over-rides, its called). Someone who sponsors you into a business is called a, ah, uh, an "upline" (mental lapse!). Someone who is below you that you've signed up is called your downline. Very simple concept. It is the only business model that I'm aware of in the world where you can start with almost no capital, and can make a sizeable income. There are people who have made millions in multi-level marketing. Now, if you talk to more than one person about their reaction or their experience with multi-level marketing, you're going to get one of two responses. #1 - if they've been successful, they'll tell you its the greatest business in the world. #2 - if they've failed or they quit, they'll tell you its a scam, its a pyramid and it doesn't work! So, what is the truth? The truth is, if it's a valid multi-level marketing company, it's not a scam, it's not a pyramid. It takes a lot of effort to make that residual income to be successful. Now, I tell you that because my wife and I Melody, we're involved with Amway for years and years. And, we did everything we were told and we spent a LOT of money going to conventions, and buying materials to learn, to get us "pumped up". We were already "pumped up", we didn't need that, but we didn't know. So, we never really made money in the old school method, what I call the old school, which was family and friends, etc..Fast forward several years - there are two ways to build a network marketing business - the old school method which is to talk to family and friends, and then from there, who do you talk to? That's the problem with that method - you run out of people to talk to. You physically can't talk to enough people you have to start talking to strangers - it's very difficult, nearly impossible to get a big enough list to make residual income in that manner. The new method is on the Internet. The Internet is the largest distribution/communication system in the world and growing every day, and it will be the platform that will allow people to come to you, rather than you making a pest of yourself with friends and families, they'll come to you and ask to be in your business. Now, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! Well, you will establish a marketing platform - sometimes called a "blog" or a "website", and you will go to work- netWORK marketing, putting together articles on your product - why it's a good product, or you'll do network marketing in general - this is what we're doing at mlmwildfire - we talk about network marketing in general and have dozens and dozens of blogs - over now a hundred videos that talks about the concept and the industry and how to make it work so that its successful for someone else. Now, think about this for a minute...the goal - this is the secret - if someone asks you what the secret of network marketing is, HERE IT IS - it is to create a "capture page" or a "blog" to drive Internet traffic (prospects) to that capture page, and to eventually sell a product or "monetize" those prospects into a residual income. Now, a residual income can be designed, based on the size of your list. A small list, not much income. A big list - the residual income can be astronomical! How much is "big?" A hundred thousand people? A hundred and fifty, two hundred thousand? There's a strata of network marketing people in this country and around the world, that have made millions because they have massive lists. So, you have to get good at writing articles and doing videos that people will come to you - subscribe to your channel, subscribe to your blog, to understand what you're saying, and over time trust that you are knowledgeable and a leader - by the way - you need to be a leader -you can't be a follower. Over time that list will grow. Let's use an example: if I have 100,000 people on my list, and I have a product say, $25 I want to sell, and I put an email out to all the people on my list who have been following me and listening to me and know that I'm to be trusted, and I say, "got a great product over here - its twenty-five bucks - here's what it does to you." Bam-bam-bam! If I had 1% of responding people from my list, that's one thousand people. Do the math! One thousand people times twenty-five dollars a person is $25,000 for sending one email out. The gentleman who helped us get our platform going made over 75,000 in one day by that same concept. So, my council to you is if you're looking at network marketing, don't try it the "old school" method - friends and families - you're going to make a pest of yourself and it is terribly hard to do. Use the Internet. Find someone you can trust to teach you how to do it. My recommendation is to, of course, use mlmwildfire.com - this is what we do. And I'm telling you what - if you put enough effort in and time and don't quit, and let me just give you this little tid-bit - 80% of people who start a network marketing business either on the Internet or not, quit after 90 days. It's a sad fact, because, my gosh, it takes six months just to learn what you're doing - it takes a year to two years to really get momentum, so be forewarned!! If you're go into network marketing, you can't get in for a week, for a month, for 90 days, you gotta' be IN IT! You gotta' COMMIT The residual income that you can earn - is STAGGERING!
