Hi In this video I will show you the easiest way to drop shadow By separating layer style I download free photo for standing girl labeled for commercial reuse with modification and I will provide you by the link in the description Go to image menu – image size – pixeldimension 1680x 1050 – resolution 72 pixel per inch I will start to select the model standing there Go to magic wand tool or press W Select the white color after finish selection press SHIFT+CTRL+I to inverse the selection or go to selection menu – inverse selection Then click on refine edge on the option bar Refine edge window pop up then move the slider bar in adjust edge panel To refine the selection in the output to select new layer to map to it Press ok to accept In layer panel click on the layer thumbnails to get layer style box then select drop shadow Make the opacity 100% For the size make it 10 or more to soften You can move the shadow from behind the model Click ok Now I will separate the drop shadow from the layer itself go to layer panel right click on the drop shadow then select create layer click ok to accept the pop up massage That situation allow me to work with the drop shadow separately Activate drop shadow layer Press CTRL+T to get transform tool try to adjust and scale the shape of the shadow press control so you can warp the shadow while you are in the tool process you can bend stretch move Press ENTER to end the transform tool Finally I can soften the shadow little bit by drop the opacity to 50 % Thank you for watching fawzi academy please subscribe share this video Favorite and like
