Morgl the Oracle
Hello everyone!
I’ve counted the votes and the card or in this case hero you wanted me to talk about
most is Morgl the Oracle “intro sound” … Let’s begin shall we?!
Sir Finley Mrrglton, renowned gentle-murloc explorer, after his adventurers during the
league of explorers adventure, has been scouring the jungles and coastlines of Azeroth in search
of mannered murlocs ready to take up the mantle of heroism and reject the savagery of their
fishy-folk.
While most murlocs are more likely to have visitors for lunch than they are to invite
them over for tea, Morgl the Oracle has wisdom, wit, and the wherewithal to fight the good
fight.
His language skills aren’t quite up to Finley’s level, but his command of the elements is
unmatched!
So much so that Thrall himself during the trailer says:
“the elements can only be mastered by the most dedicated of will – surpass all others
– mrglmrglmrgl”
That’s quite a statement to be made by the one and only Thrall.
His powers as a shaman were already out of this world and to hear him say that Morgl
is even beyond that...quite impressive for a murloc.
If you yourself want this murloc to replace your thrall shaman hero portrait then all
you have to do is recruit a friend and have that friend play the game until they have
a total of 20 levels across all of their heroes.
If you’re like me and you don’t have any friend then you can simply click the recruit
a friend button, copy the link and log out of your battle net.
Open a new incognito window, paste the link, create a new free account and log in with
that new account.
Now you’ve recruited the only friend you have in the world, namely yourself, and you’ll
have to earn those levels.
Play through the tutorial and start playing against the innkeeper.
Simply unlock all the heroes, get 1 of them to level 4, the rest of them to level 2 and
voila...you’ve unlocked Morgl The Oracle.
Now is there any story to tell about Morgl?
Not really since he hasn’t done that much in the game yet.
He knows Sir Finley Mrglton since when you play that against Morgl, this happens:
"Hello, old friend!
Let's meet for tea after the match, shall we?"
Now when I say hasn’t done much in the game yet, and quick spoiler warning for legion...if
you really want nothing spoiled then now would be the time to turn off the video, but for
those that don’t really care, Morgl becomes a rare spawn in the shaman order hall.
This event is called Tides of Wisdom in which can speak to Morgl, but he speaks only the
Murloc language.
It becomes clear Morgl wants to borrow your Artifact weapon; you can give it to him, he
will wave it around for a bit and then he gives it back you granting it 50 artifact
power.
It also becomes clear that Morgl is part of the Earthen Ring and according to the comments
on WoWhead, he was actually implemented in Legion first and then later on used for Hearthstone.
That’s not to say that they weren’t planning on using him earlier because if you look at
the Puddlestomper card it says:
He pays homage to Morgl, the great murloc oracle!
(Who doesn't??)
This card was added with the goblins vs gnomes set so quite some time before either WoW or
Hearthstone actually implemented the Oracle.
And that is all I have for you today when it comes to Morgl the Oracle.
As always I’ll leave it up to you guys and girls to decide what card we’re going to
talk about next so leave your suggestions in the comments down below and who knows?!
Your card might be used in the next video!
