Hi everyone welcome to the new episode of NGS before we get to the point I would like to say Happy Ramadan for everyone and secondly happy anniversary to Sonic so, in this episode we will review Sonic series so let's get started Sonic the hedgehog ask any player about this blue hedgehog he will recognize him without doubt he's so famous and popular and he's Sega's Icon this character appeared in 1991 on Sega Genesis and Master System this character was so unique because of the game engine that he uses back there Sega succeed because of him he has a lot of fans even in nowdays though Sega became a third party company in 2001 Sonic was a strong Rival to Mario and preferring between those two was a matter of opinions what makes sonic so special comparing to other games that his engine uses platforming along side speed his moments in general makes you think that he's just pinball his games are so fast and unique Sonic usually fights Dr Robotnik or Dr Eggman in Japanese version and prevents him from conquering the world *evil Laugh* Sonic is an iconic character in video games and he put a huge mark in my self before the video game industry! he's one of the greatest video game franchises we will focus on the main memorable games for players, not the side titles this game was released in 1991 this game have made a huge hit and helped Sega Genesis in sales you play as a blue hedgehog "Sonic" and his mission is saving the animals and stopping Dr Robotnik or Eggman in the Japanese version the control is so simple and you will use only one button which is jump this game specializes in speed, and he can use his speed in many things you can do the spin dash by pressing down while running or going through loops, that it self is so unique you can get items by smashing these monitors the special thing also is not having the health bar your surviving depends on your rings you will lose all of them if you got a hit and if you got a hit once again without getting a single ring you will die if you got 50 rings you can get into a bonus stage through the giant ring at the end of the level and try to get one of the Chaos Emeralds so try to keep your rings as much as you can the level designs are done well, not to mention the awesome music one of the flaws, while you are running too fast you can't react to up coming enemies, so you will slam into them the worst part is water stages, especially when you hear this creepy music thank god! anyway, you should not miss this one! that's all about the first game the second one released in 1992 this one has better stages and also 2 players mode and a new character to play with which is Tails they added for the first time the charging of spin dash by pressing Down + Jump and it helps you to reach high places about the new character Tails he's just a fox with two tails, he's similar to Sonic but with some differences the good thing about Sonic 2 is that you can make Tails your partner each time he dies , he will come back no matter what the funny thing that the second player can control him anytime and helps the first player but this will make this game a lot easier, because the second player can handle the bosses alone anyway, about the 2 players mode it's just a race between 2 players and each one must reach the goal before the other one if someone reach the goal he have to wait until the second player reaches too and if he didn't, a count down will appear and stop the game Saif: Ha! I won! Salem: oh god.. Saif: come on! hurry! Salem: ok! let me finish this annoying stage! Salem: my god.. finally! I reached finally... oh .. I won.. what is this??? just keep playing! all right! all right! this level is so hard! oh my god! *shutting the door* I reached! where did he go??? about the bonus stages, you can inter them through the checkpoints it's different from the first game and if you got the 7 chaos emeralds you can turn into Super Sonic unfortunately I didn't manage to do that because it's so hard that's all about Sonic 2 Sonic 3 was released in 1994 they added for the first time the save features you can choose any save data along with the character you want to play with about the gameplay, it's still the same of course but the physics are much better and the stages are awesome too the music is epic as usual of course not to mention they changed the sprites of Sonic and Tails there is not much changes in this game except some several things Sonic can do the wave attack in the air also there are 3 kinds of shields water shield that prevents you from drowning and do the bouncing fire shield that makes you dash in the air and finally the lightning one that gives you an extra jump and drag the rings for the first time Tails can fly with his two tails and carry sonic to the high places the interesting thing about the third character..Knuckles Knuckles always stands against Sonic at the ending of each stages and prevents him you can play as him in 2 players mode but this mode is not deep like the second game but it's still enjoyable even with its limitation at the beginning of the race don't cross the line until the countdown finish first wait !! ok! it's just the first try, what the problem? you have to wait it's a different game! I SAID WAIT !! I..I just want to get launched fast! OK BUT WAIT UNTIL IT SAYS "GO"!! Salem: OK! OK! whatever! Saif: just wait AHHH I'LL BEAT YOU UP!!! anyway you can enter bonus stages through the giant rings in the hidden places you have to collect all blue balls by making a circle on the others, and they will turn into rings the good thing is.. the bonus stages here is easier than the second game after getting all the 7 chaos emeralds, collect at least 50 rings and press the jump button in the air you will transform into Super Sonic! as you can see you can play as golden Sonic he's too fast and he can jump even higher he don't get any damages unless if he fall in the gaps or got squashed but beware! the rings will decrease slowly and if you ran out you will return into a regular Sonic once again so keep collecting the rings on your way if you find a giant ring again you will get extra 50 rings and you won't get into bonus stages anymore that's all about Sonic 3 and it's easier than the others his game is my favorite 2D Sonic game and it was released later in 1994 it uses the same exact engine of Sonic 3 but the levels are different of course and for the first time you can play as Knuckles he can glide and climb unlike the others and that makes him the greatest character in 2D series unfortunately, Tails is not playable in this one this game is awesome and balanced and the soundtrack is so epic but unfortunately it doesn't feature saving data or 2 players mode the story is after Sonic 3 directly by the way you are wondering about the looking of the cartridge and at the top there is a cartridge slot so what the point of it? now I will show you and you will understand everything did you notice? firstly, the title have changed form Sonic 3 to Sonic 3 and Knuckles with introduction music of Sonic and Knuckles not only that! you play Sonic 3 levels along side with Sonic and Knuckles levels!! in other word, both games got fused together and became one! and you can play with all characters.. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles that it self is a huge thing! Sonic and Knuckles was like a DLC for Sonic 3 this is a REAL DLC! it's not like crappy DLC's such as clothes in Street Fighter 4! or new chapters for some games and other nonsense! THIS IS A TRUE DLC MORONS !! what wrong?? can't you stand jokes??! anyway ,now the game is longer than before let's talk about the best feature in this game if you already have the 7 chaos emeralds in Sonic 3 in Sonic 3 and knuckles you have to collect also the 7 Super Emeralds and if you got them you can transform this time into Hyper Sonic! as you can see he's too different his color changes to many colors unlike the Super transformation not to mention that he's glaring too much hyper is faster than Super and he can do double jump while doing the second jump he does the flashing that kills every enemy in the screen so awesome, right? by the way, you can play as Hyper Knuckles and Super Tails too Hyper Knuckles glares a little he's faster than usual, when he glides and hit the wall he do earthquake that kills all the enemies in screen about Super Tails, he's faster than usual and some golden birds appear around him, they kill any enemy close by all these things makes Sonic and Knuckles one of the greatest DLC'S and the best 2D sonic game by the way, you use Sonic 2 on Sonic and Knuckles and play as Knuckles in Sonic 2 if you asked, which one is the best Sonic 2D game without fusion? I say Sonic and Knuckles, and I mentioned the reasons that's all about the 2D classic games of Sonic wait for part 2 of reviewing Sonic series we will review the 3D Classic Sonic games ,don't worry it will be tomorrow!
