Amber Heard, wife of Hollywood actor Johnny Depp, has escaped conviction after pleading
guilty in an Australian court to falsifying travel documents to sneak two pet dogs into the country.
The actress came up against Australia's notoriously tough quarantine laws after authorities accused
the couple of flying their Yorkshire Terriers into the country without permission.
But Heard was let off with a one-month good behavior bond after she pleaded guilty to
lying on an incoming passenger form, and her lawyers played this video apology in court.
The apology brings to an end what Australian media has been calling the "war on terrier",
an episode which could have seen Heard sent to prison for up to a decade.
