Janine Vs. Jasmine Vs. Inah: Who’s Alden Richards’ Next Leading Lady?
Alden Richards is about to make his teleserye comeback. In a report by Pep. ph last May 25, it was finally revealed that the actor will be headlining GMA’s newest primetime fantasy series, Victor Magtanggol.
“Si Victor Magtanggol ay simpleng tao na nabigyan ng ekstraordinaryong misyon,” he shares. “Natuwa ako at na-excite kasi yung puso ng character naramdaman ko na agad, binasa ko pa lang yung first week ng script.”.
There’s no confirmation yet about other cast members of the show, or who’s going to be the actor’s leading lady.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that Maine Mendoza, the other half of the phenomenal AlDub tandem, will not be part of the upcoming TV series. Alden and Maine’s last primetime show as love team was 2017’s Destined To Be Yours.
Maine has been very vocal about her relationship with Alden—which, to the fans disappointment, is purely professional. “Alden and I are just friends. We are a love team,” she wrote in an open letter published late last year.
After sharing the real score between them, the two then started to go on their separate ways and have projects and endorsements on their own. Alden’s Victor Magtanggol stint is the actor’s biggest role outside the love team.
Speaking of love teams, we can’t help but wonder who’s going to be Maine’s replacement as Alden’s new leading lady.
There are rumors that any from Inah de Belen, Janine Gutierrez, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith are being tapped by the network to be Alden’s next on screen partner. But as of writing, there’s no confirmation yet.
If you were going to choose, who do you think would be right for the part? Let’s get to know the prospects better below:.
The fresh face: Inah De Belen
Inah is the eldest daughter of celebrities Janice De Belen and John Estrada. Don’t let her baby face fool you though—believe it or not, the actress is already 26 years old, and is even in a relationship with fellow Kapuso Jake Vargas.
She has been part of movies like Crazy Beautiful You and Die Beautiful.
Based on her Instagram account, Inah is fond of exercising, most especially crossfit and weightlifting. She works out with Coach Dan, who also trains her sister, Kaila, and beauty queens WynWin Marquez and Ara Arida.
Inah is also a big music fan—she was spotted watching the concerts of Ed Sheeran, Rave Radio, and Skytek early this year. This pretty one also loves going to the beach and riding waves!.
The effortless goddess: Janine Gutierrez
Janine is also the eldest of four siblings, and has celebrity parents as well (her parents are Ramon Christopher Gutierrez and Lotlot de Leon). Like Alden and Maine, Janine has been a Kapuso throughout her entire showbiz career.
Last 2014, the 28-year-old actress won the prestigious German Moreno Youth Achievement Award during the 62nd FAMAS Awards. We last saw her as Irene Manansala on GMA’s Sherlock Jr., which ended just last April.
Janine is known for her expressive eyes and effortless posing prowess. She’s been on the cover of several magazines, with the most recent one last March for Preview.
She’s also an in-demand endorser and commercial model. But between her jam-packed sched, she still makes time to go on vacation. In fact, she’s currently in the beautiful country of Spain!.
The award-winning actress: Jasmine Curtis-Smith
Jasmine became even more critically acclaimed after winning Best Supporting Actress for Siargao in last years MMFF. After her contract with TV5 ended in November 2016, the 24-year-old actress decided to concentrate on movies.
Aside from Siargao, she also starred in 2017’s I’m Drunk, I Love You, alongside Maja Salvador and Paulo Avelino. Just this April, Jasmine decided to sign a contract with the Kapuso network.
Over the years, Jasmine has has been making her own mark in the showbiz industry.
She won several awards for her acting skills, including Outstanding Breakthrough Performance by An Actress for Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum (2013 Golden Screen TV Awards), Best Supporting Actress and Best Breakthrough Performance by an Actress for Transit (9th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and 11th Golden Screen Awards respectively), German Moreno Youth Achievement Award (2015 FAMAS Awards), and Best Actress for Baka Bukas (2016 Cinema One Originals Film Festival).
But it’s not all work for this talented lady. Travelling, getting a tan, walking her dogs (she has two cute pugs, Waffle and Papito!), and car racing are some of the activities she does for fun!.
