There are five departments in CSSA, event planning, public relations, finance and fund raising, human resource and research and development.
Each of the five departments is lead by a VP.
There is a clear division of labor between departments to ensure efficiency
but at the same time, departments communicate and cooperate, to maximize productivity, and complete task in a timely fashion.
HR is short for Human Resource. As the name implies, we are the department that deal with people.
Our tasks include Red Square booth propaganda
arranging venue for events, managing communication information, tracking officer achievement, annual recruitment
and training of new recruits.
We are also in charge of contacting outstanding alumni of CSSA
and establishing a social network.
Finally, team building events each semester, to make CSSA a big family.
All and all, HR department is responsible for all the internal work.
We are committed to monitor the growth and dynamic of each officer
help CSSA become the warm and loving home of our officers.
RD is short for Research and Development.
Commonly know as Seattle Lanxiang (Supposed to be funny in Chinese).
Technology is the prime productive force.
RD plays a critical role in CSSA. All of the technical work is done by the RD department.

These work can be divided into three parts
graphic design, video production, and programming across all platforms.
All the beautiful posters, video clips (including this one!)
and mobile apps are all from the hands of RD officers
In addition, the CSSA website and forum are maintenance by us.
FR is short for Finance and Fund Raising
Mainly responsible for two aspects
First, fund management, including budget approval and expense reimbursement
Second, fund raising
it is divided into two parts, within and outside of the university.
Within the university, we contact with other RSOs and school agencies
to provides financial support for events.
Outside of the university,
we connect with local entrepreneurs and enterprises, and gain sponsorships
This is the most important task for the department
We are committed to provide strong financial support,
help making the whole process runs smoothly
PR is short for Public Relation
Our main tasks are divided into two parts
First, communicate with all of our members
information sharing is the priority of all the PR works
CSSA now has Renren, Weibo
and Facebook accounts, as well as forum and newsletter
to share our latest events and other useful information
Another responsibility of the PR department
is to connect and cooperate with other organizations on behalf of CSSA
This includes school organizations
other students' organizations,
and social groups from the greater Seattle area.
Event Planning Department mainly in charge of the planning and execution of CSSA's events
A very important part is
the creative thinking, process making, and the assessment of the event.
In the preliminary stage
we cooperate with PR, RD departments to promote the event
Also, we work with FR department to ensure the financial support needed.
On the day of the event,
we work with HR department to provide on-site control,
to make sure the event runs smoothly.
Event planning department is the department that makes events happen.
CSSA with have recruitment in autumn and spring quarter each year.
We welcome all of you,
