Hi, I'm Chris Hildebrand of Hildebrand Law. I want to answer your question on when you
can file for divorce in the state of Arizona. So long as you've been a resident in the state
of Arizona for 90 days, you can file a divorce petition at any time. If you however have
not been a resident in Arizona for 90 days, you have to establish 90 days of residency
before you file that divorce petition. However, you may file a legal separation petition even
if you've been a resident in Arizona for less than that 90 day period of time. And then
after you've established the minimum requirement for residency, subsequently convert that petition
for legal separation into a petition for dissolution of marriage and proceed. If you have any other
questions regarding when to file or how to file a divorce petition in the state of Arizona,
please feel free to contact me at chris@hildebrandlaw.com.
