Hi.
My name is Marni Dunning, and I'm Instructional Technologist
here at Minnesota State University Mankato.
In this video tutorial, I'm going to walk you through the
process of entering in your grades into the E-services at
the end of the semester.
So the first thing you'll want to do is open up a browser
window, and navigate to mnsu.edu.
Once you're on our home page, you'll want to navigate or
scroll down to the bottom underneath Campus Services,
and you're going to want to go ahead and click on E-services.
Now this will have you log in with your TechID and your
TechID password.
Now your TechID is on your badge.
This is your number here on campus.
This username and password is separate from getting into D2L
and your MavMail.
So you want to go ahead and type in your TechID.
And I'm going to gray mine out for purposes of this video.
And I'm going to want to go ahead and type
in my TechID password.
And I'm going to click on Login.
Now it'll enter me into the system, and then this is into
the E-services.
Now to do my grades, what I want to do is, over here on
the left with the blue banner over here, I want to go ahead
and click on Class Management.
From Class Management, you notice I have different
options here-- if I want to print my class list, if I want
to do faculty overrides.
But I want to go ahead and click on Grade and LDA Entry.
Now once I click on that, it will show me the semester
here, and all the courses for that corresponding semester.
I want to make sure I choose the semester that I want to
enter the grades in So if it's the beginning of Spring
semester in January, I want to make sure
I choose Fall semester.
So I'm going to go ahead and choose Fall 2013.
It will list my courses here.
Now if I want to go in and grade any one of these, I just
simply go ahead and click on the course.
And then here, it'll have the beginning date, the end date,
information about the course.
And I want to go ahead and click on
View and Enter Grades.
Now this will list all of my students.
And again, I have these grayed out for security purposes.
But I'm going to be able to see their tech ID, the
student's name, the grading method, and then information
that I can put in their grades.
So a little tip here--
I can select the first person's name, and I can go
ahead and choose their grade.
And if I want to add a plus or a minus to their grade, I can
do that, also.
One little tip--
If I hit Select All here, then I can go through and do
multiple kind of as I go through, instead of having to
select each individual one.
If I need to give a different grade, for example, a B, I can
always do a B minus or a B plus.
If a student has failed, I can put in an F, but if I put in
an F, I do have to continue over here to either that they
partially stopped attending, or that they never attended.
So based on an F, I'll have to choose that.
Or if the stopped coming, I'm going to have to put in a date
here as to when they stopped coming.
So the month, the day, the year.
And I can also choose that from the calendar.
So I can go back, and say they stopped coming on
September 9th, 2013.
If I fail a student, I do you have to put in the last date
of attendance or never showed up.
Once I'm all done, I can go ahead and post to final
grades, if you're done and you want to post this.
If you're still working and you want to come back, you can
always save the draft.
If you want to print this, you can print the PDF imprint.
I'm not actually going to submit these grades, but
that's how you do it for each individual class.
Once you come back, you can come back to Grade and LDA
Entry, open up another course, and do the same process all
over again.
If you should have any questions about how this
process is done, please contact the ITS Service desk
at 389-6654.
Thanks so much.
