Hi, we're going to present ourself in Tadasana, mountain pose. This pose begins in the soles
of your feet. So we're going to take a look down at the soles of your feet, and see that
they are parallel with each other, so they're not turning out, turning in, balling out,
balling in. We want to stay right here, lifting all ten toes, and see if we can't ground the
soles of your feet; the whole ball of your foot, as equal as the heel, and then you'll
be able to drizzle all ten toes, melting into the earth. From the soles of your feet, we're
going to look at the ankles; lifting the ankles, traveling up to the knees; checking that the
ankles are directly below the knees; traveling up; that the knees are directly below your
hips. Continue to travel up, checking that the hips are directly in line with your shoulders.
Then we want to create space in your neck, lifting from the crown of your head. And then
we're going to drop your shoulders; relaxing. We're going to lift the sternum up toward
your chin; opening the heart. Begin to strengthen your legs, so that this is a powerful pose.
Feel the balance equally from right side to left side. Feel the strength in your legs,
as you continue to lift and lengthen your spine. So if we take a look at this from the
side view, you're going to have a straight line from the shoulder to the hip to the ankle,
pausing to just enjoy the pose and re-evaluate.
