What was this tabernacle? How did it look? To understand this,
we will now see a trailer about the tabernacle.
And we all will pay attention now, our guests are still coming, from outskirts
And all those who have come, I welcome you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our volunteers will guide you to your seat, and are making arrangements for the same.
All Pastors are requested that they come in front, special arrangement has been done for them here.
Please all of you, come in front.
We see in The Bible, in the book of Exodus
that God had given Moses some instructions.
And He asked Moses to build a structure.
This event is about 3,500 years old.
and 1,500 years before Christ, when the Israelites were in Egypt
God Almighty, helped them to cross the Red Sea with His might, and brought them out of Egypt
And after coming near Mount Sinai, God gave certain instructions to Moses
He gave him the Ten Commandments and along with that He told them
that they should build a Tabernacle so that He could dwell amongst them.
And all the details regarding this Tabernacle were given by God Himself to Moses, and this is the most important thing
This structure that you all can see,
shows that the Israelites are in wilderness, and during their time there, God told them to build a special place for them, where they could worship
This was a tent, and a tent can be moved from place to place.
In the book of Exodus, we find why God asked them to build this Tabernacle.
First point - God wanted to dwell amongst us.
God who lived in heaven, likes to live amongst us.
Lets open Exodus 25:8 from our Bible
Anyone who's reading it, please come forward, a mic will be given to you.
Exodus 25:8 " And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them".
Why does He want them to make a "Sanctuary" ? Because it was God's will to dwell amongst humans.
This is the First reason.
The second reason is found in Exodus 25:22.
"22And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which [are] upon the ark of the testimony,
of all [things] which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
Now, the first reason we've seen that, God wanted to dwell amongst humans and He desired that.
And just now we have seen the Second reason/ motive behind building the tabernacle
that second reason is that God wanted to speak with us Humans.
He wanted to share all His feelings and thoughts with us humans.
And that's why He asked to build this Tabernacle.
We all know that in Hebrews 1:1 it is said that
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets"
and the same God, spoke through His Son..
Our God is a speaking God. He likes to speak to us, with you and me.
Today there are many families and couples, with fights. They don't communicate with each other.
But, the God who created us, actually is a God who loves to speak and communicate.
And when God stops His communication with us, we must understand that, now its time for judgement.
We all know that the period of 400 years, which is also called as the dark ages
from Malachi to Matthews, there was no saint.
and thereafter God's voice didn't reach us.
Period of Judgement. Please keep this in mind dear friends.
When God stops speaking with us, that is abnormal.
The normal thing is that, God likes to speak with us and maintain a relationship with us.
If He likes speaking to us, wouldn't we like to speak with Him? We must always try to speak with Him.
Through our thoughts, our prayers we speak with God.
And how to we speak with Him?
So we saw the second motive.
First motive - God likes to live amongst humas
Do you all know, Lord Jesus Christ has a name in this context.
It is "Emmanuel". It means God is with us.
He has come as Emmanuel.
He likes to be with us. Even if families are breaking up, friends are leaving each other, and people don't like each other's company
People separate, and isolate each other.
And in such a condition, God is giving us a message.
that this fellowship, this thing of living together
Our God is like this. This is in His nature.
God likes to live amongst us, He likes to speak with us.
And the third point, can be seen in Hebrews 9:9
Please open Hebrews Chapter 9 and verse 9.
"Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience"
It is said that it is an Illustration here. It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is symbolic.
It is an illustration? But what is it about?
It is an image/ illustration of a Good thing that is about to happen in future.
And what is that good thing, what is this image about?
We will see it in today's seminar. Even though we have been a bit late to start...
but you all have come from far off and in large numbers and this hall is also fully filled now
our volunteers have got some extra chairs, and we can make some arrangement...
But the important thing to understand here is that there is some secret hidden in this tabernacle.
And this secret was revealed by God Himself.
Many people (of different faith) try to duplicate
but there is no truth in that.
May be, you could find the things occurring in The Bible somewhere else too...
But the truth is here. The truth is in The Bible.
And that truth has been fulfilled.
What is said in the Bible, is said regarding the future.
And that prophecy has been accurately and perfectly fulfilled over the years, as we have seen it.
And that is why it is important. Here we have seen the 3 motives...
First point being that the Tabernacle was given by God Himself
Its idea did not originate from a Human intelligence.
It is not written as a literature by any author.
But God, the owner and creator of this world, had ordered his servant Moses to create the Tabernacle.
But God, the owner and creator of this world, had ordered his servant Moses to create the Tabernacle.
That was the First Point.
Second Point - 3,500 years ago, when the Israelites left Egypt and were wondering in the wilderness
and here is the most important thing/application that is applicable in our lives
... when do we understand God's will?
When did God speak about His will/ ideas? He does this, when we leave Egypt.
But what does Egypt symbolize? It symbolizes this world, and all the worldy things and desires that come with it.
When we come out of our worldy lives...
Crossing the Red Sea means dying in Egypt i.e. our wordly lives
Because after crossing the Red Sea, the again went back to its original state.
One cannot go back to Egypt via that Sea again.
So if you want to understand what God has in His mind.
If one has to understand what concepts He has in His mind...
Then the first thing that we have to do is, get out of Egypt.
There are 3 types of Christian people.... in this world
First are those who live in Egypt, second are those who live in the wilderness...
And the third being those who live in Conan... Praise the Lord....
We have a choice, where do we want to stay.....
But our blessings depend on where we choose to stay....
you can stay in Egypt, but under the covering of the blood of that Lamb...
That blood of the lamb must be applied on the forehead of your door (spiritual door).
But, if you're still in Egypt then there still is that fear of Pharaoh.
That tension will still be there
So..... coming out of Egypt means dying to this world....
And after they crossed that Red Sea... i.e after they were dead to this world
Then God reveals what is in His mind.....
Sometimes we ask God, "God I want your incredible knowledge"
I want to learn all incredible things from you my God
Because You are great and a True God.
All these things are true, and we have faith in them
But, still we don't get this knowledge.... Have you thought about that?
What did God say in The Bible in 33:3? In which Book?
Praise God! Direct call, isn't it? Please call me!
Call me, so that I will answer you,
And those things that are mystic, inexplicable and hidden
I will reveal them to you.
But, where are all these things revealed? That place is also very important!
Now, we have seen that God has revealed all the things that were in His mind
Now,
You all can see this Tabernacle now, it is surrounded by wilderness from all sides
The tents that you can see, are the tents of Israel, these tents surrounded the Tabernacle from all sides
North, South, East and West. And exactly in the centre was the Tabernacle
Here God's Shekina Glory, His, Presence had come down from heaven into this Tabernacle
And it was exactly at the centre of all these tents. Please keep this in mind
Central location, and always in our lives, this central location is a very important place.....
and this place should be given to God only..... and this is what our God is teaching us... Praise God!!!!
We must give our Lord the most important and centrally located place in our lives... He should not be cornered
If this Tabernacle was located in the corner, the tents at that corner would be closer to it
And the people dwelling in other corners, would be away from it
But please understand this, that God loves everyone equally....
He is close to everyone
He has given everyone the opportunity to get Salvation,
So... this Tabernacle was situated at the centre of the Israelite camp
and through this God is telling us.. that in our lives too
We have many different lives, life with family, economic lives, life at our work
and the central location the epicentre of all these lives should be given to God
