One of the questions I'm often asked is, how do personal injury lawyers like myself get
paid? Well we work on a contingency fee basis. What that means is that my fee, the amount
that I earn for my time, is contingent upon whether or not I recover for my client, and
the amount that I recover for them. So in general, my fee one third of whatever I recover
for my clients. If I don't get anything for you, you don't owe me any money for my time
that I spent on your case. And the more I get for you, the more I get for myself.
So as you can see, it firmly aligns our interest. My interest is to get my clients as much money
as I can possibly get them. And frankly, in my opinion, if someone is injured, they deserve
as much money as I can possibly get them because the one thing that you can't ever get back
is your health.
