Our initial goal on Kickstarter was to raise twenty-two thousand dollars
which was a conservative figure
and with your help
in only, I think, three days
we met our funding goal.
Just three days.
Encouraging news.
And we were really thrilled about that.
Yes, and based on the documentary that we did
Paradise or Oblivion that was presented
March 2012, we knew this project would be more expensive.
If a campaign meets it's funding goals early on
Kickstarter recommends setting stretch goals which goes beyond that.
So we'd like to present some of the improvements we'll make to the series
if we can reach these new stretch goals
More style!
Better quality!
New features!
Our initial goal on Kickstarter was by looking at
how much Roxanne spent on a 48 minute piece.
We expect this one to be at least an hour and a half.
We have two current projected milestones now.
One is fifty-five thousand dollars.
If we can possibly achieve that we would like to get professional music for this film.
Now, lets add the orchestra!
We could also get professional color grading
and post-production help that would really distinguish this
as a more professional project.
If we're able to raise seventy-five thousand dollars
"I'm afraid you're a bit of a dreamer darling!"
we may be able to get additional CGI
we would very much like to have done for this
in order to depict this vision in it's evolving and growing scope.
And we have over 4000 sketches and blueprints in our archives to work from.
Showing this vision is a very important aspect of it.
Because it's based on very different principles in regards to design
for the future.
And we would like to talk about this in more detail
and portray it as well.
Otherwise, people picture it based on their own background.
Another thing is public relations.
This is very necessary to pay for
and this is a consideration we could also explore
if we reach that higher end of funding.
And if you're interested in this project, and identify with it,
then please help pass it around.
We all thank you
And that thank you is coming from everybody
who is working towards The Venus Project.
We're truly grateful for the overwhelming show of support
and enthusiasm for this project.
This wouldn't happen without you,
So we really appreciate this
Thank You!
