Hello, in this part we will take a closer look into the history.
Today we are going to find out wheter the idea of living inside the Earth is a modern 19th century invetion or maybe it has always endured.
We will see how this idea has developed through the last 3000 years.
But first something I forgot to mention in the introduction.
What keeps people thinking that we live on the outside of the Earth?
It's the matter of religion.
All the religions guard the belief of convex Earth.
We have two religions for example on this picture. Christianity and Judaism.
We will be examining only those two religions. That's because both of them are based on the Holy Bible, the Old Testament.
We know that in the 1st Book of Genesis of the Old Testament the act of Creation is described.
That's the source of information for us concerning where we should live: on the outside or in the inside of the Earth.
But today we will take a look into the history. The biblical issues and quotes will be presented in the next parts.
Religions explain the Bible on their very own ways. Especially the first chapter of Genesis.
When I was a follower of one religion I read an essay about it. It didn't make sense as I compared it to the verses of Genesis.
It was confused and unclear. Confusing is still being practised by every religion.
I have recently read a text which said that the biblical Deep is spiritual not physical
So the explanation of this topic of the Act of Creation is very confused by the religions. It is not precise and clear.
But we will make it understandable in the part concerning biblical issues.
Now let's start with the Babylonians.
They made a map of the world. This artifact comes from the 8th century BC. It shows the cities and their location. Let's see.
They are ale placed inside. Some lands are..outisde. That's what its description tells us. (go to 4:19 now)
What is more interesting is the description of this map from wikipedia.
Number 18 on the map says: "Grand wall in the distance of 6 miles."
Most important part is the one underlined in red. It says: "Where the sun is invisible" Where can't you see the sun ?
On the outside, the Deep. Because the sun circulates inside the Earth. In the Deep there is only light. Not sun.
So we see the motive of living inside the Earth in Babylon. But there is more.
Let's go to Egypt now. The signs of Zodiac. What's interesting in here. We enlarge the picture.
What are the signs of Zodiac ? They are the signs of stellar constellations.
Where is the heaven among those signs ? It is inside.
And there is life inside as well. We see that the heaves are supported by Egyptians gods.
So we have life inside and the signs of Zodiac which create the internal heaven or sky.
So this is the motive of living inside the Earth from Egypt. I encourage you to take a closer look at this picture.
It is in the description below, so take a closer look.
That's it from Egypt. Now let's go to Mexico.
What do we have in here ? It was already shown in the Introduction, so we have the two holes on the north and south pole.
There is the Mayan's god inside and two circular elements on the both sides of it. They present the hands of god.
In fact these two hands are..the sun and the moon. God of Mayans lives inside the Earth, in the centre of the universe.
Their calendar shows us what they believed in. They believed that we live inside the Earth. Just like Egyptians did.
Let's go further. From Mexico to Tibet.
What drives our attention in here ? Remember the hands of the Mayan's god in the previous picture ?
Here is the same thing. We have a large circle inside and two smaller ones on each side.
Again this depicts life inside the Earth. We have the core of the universe (god) with sun and moon on the sides.
And of course the two holes on the north and south pole.
So that's Tibetan scheme of living inside the Earth.
When I posted this image on the forum (polish site) those two circles on the both sides of the core didn't make sense for me.
But now all these elements seem to perfectly match with each other. They are all characteristic for the system we live in.
Vatican City. On the left there is a 16th century St. Peter's Square. On the right a modern metawork from Vatican as well.
Vatican should perfectly know where we live. It turns out that indeed they have always had this knowledge.
In the middle of the Square there's an Egyptian obelisk.
It represents the core of the universe. That's where God lives. In this case it's an Egyptian idol called Amen-Ra.
We have two fountains on each side of the obelisk.
They represent the same thing as in the previous pictures from Babylon, Egypt, Tibet and Mexico.
One of them is the sun and the other is the moon.
Again we can see the two holes leading to the centre of the Earth.
The massive collumns surrounding the square represent the Earth's shell.
On the right we have a modern sculpture in Vatican.
As the symbolism of St.Peter's Square could be confusing, this one leaves no doubts.
What do we have here ? The sculpture illustrates the first verse of Genesis.
The smaller globe inside a bigger one. The small globe is a rotating sky. It is the inner sphere.
Where do we live then according to this sculpture ? On the inside of the bigger sphere/globe.
So we have the 16th century square and a modern metalwork. Both located in the Vatican City.
This painting is in an Italian church. It must be analized from two points of view. We have a portal in the upper part.
And we have a globe in the centre. God lives inside the globe and is represented by the cross.
There is life inside the Earth. But in the outside there is life too.
We have two systems here. Inner system and outer system. We live in the inner system.
But there is even better painting. It is located in a church in Ettal, Germany. It leaves no doubts.
What does it illustrate ? This is God who measures the Earth.
The sky is inside, as well as the moon and the sun. You can see oceans or seas inside. The outer, yellow layer is..the shell.
God is measuring the distance between the centre of the universe and the outer surface of the Earth.
All those pictures that we analized today, prove that the idea of living inside the Earth is not new at all.
It has always persisted. But religions don't tell us these things.
Has anyone measured Earth ? Is it convex or concave ?
So, in this part we have discussed historical issues. The next part will be devoted to some groundbreaking proofs from geodesy.
That's all for now. Thank you.
