Boo!
Herb Dino, woah woah woah.
So I took to Twitter and said, "Submit a topic HERE and I will talk about it for (about)
four minutes in an upcoming video!"
And Paz from Paz vs Stuff replied, "ghosts! as in have you seen one and do you believe
in them?"
So, as for the first part of the question, I have never seen a ghost, however I believe
that I have interacted with them in different ways. So, when I was a kid, when I was about
10 or 11, and I know memories can be dubious from your childhood, but this one really sticks
out um I was in a room with three or four of my friends and um we like turned all the
lights off and we were chanting bloody Mary over and over again um I'm sure you've heard
about, you know you go into a dark room with a mirror and you chant bloody Mary three times
into the mirror and then something's supposed to happen.
And then something really weird happened, um, there was this big cardboard box sitting
on one of the tables uh that was full of lego pieces um and no one was standing near it,
no one was touching it at all, and it just started to rise off of the table really, really
slowly - and it wasn't sitting on the edge or anything - it was like right like firmly
on the table, but it slowly started to rise off, very, very slowly and then, someone - not
me - one of my friends noticed and started pointing and yelling at it and being like,
are you guys seeing this, are you guys seeing this, we all looked at it and we were all
like kinda stunned and it got to a certain point and then just like dropped on the floor
really fast and the lego pieces just went everywhere and all of us went screaming from
the room!
I don't know what that was, but it was super weird and I think it's definitely made me
very open to the idea of ghosts. The answer to "do I believe in ghosts?" then is maybe.
I'm definitely open to the idea that they might exist. I'm open to a lot of things.
I'm an agnostic and I generally believe that there's just a lot in the universe that we
don't understand and we might never understand and I think the whole concept of ghosts is
one of those things. I'm trying to dig into my brain back to philosophy 100 and remember
the term for a theory that can be neither proven nor disproven and I know like the theory
that ghosts might exist is one of those.
Because there isn't a definitive way to prove whether or not ghosts exist, it's kind of
a question that I think will always remain unanswered and will always remain kind of
mysterious. And sometimes I think that ghosts are just leftover energies from people or
occurrences that sort of remain in the world for whatever reason.
A lot of people that I've talked to have claimed to have had sort of supernatural experiences
and whether or not that's true, I don't know, but I also don't think that we can necessarily
discount it. And I don't know, I like the idea that ghosts might exist. I think that
adds a certain, kind of, mystery to the world and it's kind of an exciting idea. And I'm
a big fan of horror as a genre and I really like ghost stories, so if ghosts are real
and that stuff's real, it's kinda scary and it's kinda awesome at the same time.
One thing that I definitely would NOT like is to see a ghost, so if you're a ghost and
you're watching this right now, please do NOT appear to me. If you need to interact
with me in some way, please just find another way but don't just like - I don't wanna turn
around and just YOU be standing there, okay? I don't want that - I don't know who wants
that! I don't know, maybe some people want that? I do not want that. So if we could just
refrain from scaring me to death, that would be awesome.
I want you to exist, I just don't wanna have to see you. And seeing as you're invisible
most of the time, that doesn't seem unreasonable.
Anyhow, this has been four minutes of ghosts with Sage. So thank-you very much Paz for
suggesting this topic, I am still accepting submissions, so feeling free to leave them
in the comments below or on the Twitter or on... other, there are other ways to reach
me, so... they're in the thing.
And that's a wrap.
